This thing in my resume cost me some great internship opportunities👇🏻 A lesson that would have saved me valuable opportunities if told sooner. Throughout my first year, I actively applied to multiple companies by sending out resumes. Sadly, I did not receive any replies. At first, I thought it was due to a lack of experience. Simultaneously, my friends were getting placed in good companies with the same level of experience they shared with me. With a very heavy heart, I shared it with my senior asking what am I doing wrong. The thing they told me made so much sense that I felt stupid doing that🥸 Do you know what I did? I made my resume more than one page long that too without any experience and soft skills. Yes! I was that stupid. I finally rectified the mistake by adjusting the size and the font on one page. The next day day I started sending out my resume. I was not selected instantly but at least I started getting replies and callbacks based on it. Do you know why it is important to make your resume short and crisp? ↳Captures the employer's attention ↳Makes it easier for them to grasp as they receive many applications ↳They don't get overwhelmed by so many unnecessary details ↳Enhances readability ↳Makes relevant information stand out ↳Makes a positive impact ↳Shows that you respect your employer's time ↳Helps recruiters to identify your strengths ↳Shorter resumes are memorable #resume #resumehelp #resumebuilding #linkedinlearning

📝 Resume Length: How Long Should It Be? 📝 One of the most common questions we receive is, "How long should my resume be?" Here's what our experts recommend: 🔹 Entry-Level and Early Career Professionals: Aim for a concise, one-page resume. Focus on highlighting your education, key skills, internships, and relevant experiences. 🔹 Mid-Level Professionals: A one to two-page resume is appropriate. Include detailed descriptions of your work experience, achievements, and any certifications or skills that are relevant to the position you’re applying for. 🔹 Senior-Level and Executives: Your resume can extend to two pages or slightly more if necessary. Emphasize your leadership roles, significant accomplishments, strategic contributions, and executive-level skills. ✴ Pro Tip: Quality over quantity! It's essential to ensure every word on your resume adds value and is tailored to the job you’re targeting. Always prioritize clarity, relevance, and impact over length. New grads, this one's for you! Graduated and lost? Let’s map out your resume together and find your path! We've all been there. It’s tough when your experience is limited and you’re trying to make a splash. But don’t worry! Here are some game-changing tips to help you stand out without resorting to filler fluff. 1. Less is More Over-explaining every bullet point can make your resume look bloated and hard to read. Focus on your most impressive duties and keep your bullet points concise. Recruiters don't expect extensive professional histories from entry-level candidates. 2. Skip the Objective Objective statements are often overlooked or can even hurt your chances. Instead, let your skills and experiences do the talking. If you must include something at the top, consider a brief summary that highlights your key strengths. 3. Volunteer Work Counts! Don’t hesitate to include volunteer work, internships, and relevant coursework. These experiences demonstrate your capabilities and commitment. They’re just as valuable as paid positions, especially when you’re starting out. 4. Time Will Fill Out Your Resume Your first job is a stepping stone. Focus on getting your foot in the door. The rest will follow as you gain experience and build your career. Need More Help? If you're looking for personalized advice, a custom resume, or a cover letter, reach out. Sharing additional resume tips from someone currently immersed in resume reviews: 1. Clearly highlight your internships if you're a student. Multiple short stints might seem like job hopping, but don't let the hiring manager connect the dots—explicitly mention if it's an internship and the duration. This applies to temporary or contract roles too. 2. Job-hopped before? No worries; many of us have. However, if a stint lasted less than 6 months and isn't relevant to your current application, consider leaving it off. Gaps in your work history can be more appealing than a series of brief roles (IMO). 3. If you've faced a layoff and are currently unemployed, add that detail. Providing context adds depth to your resume and distinguishes it from simply being without employment. 4. Remember, recruiters and HR spend just 30 seconds to a minute scanning resumes. Prioritize clarity and readability—make it easy for them to grasp your qualifications quickly! #HRprotips #hiringtips #resumewriting

How to make your resume stand out? In the last 10 days, I have seen 18 resumes, and one common issue is present in everyone's resume. Nowadays, this issue is very common. Guess what? The answer is pretty simple Quantification (adding numbers). This is one of the most important factors for your resume because it showcases your impact on your previous organization, and sometimes it also highlights your leadership qualities. Quantification helps your resume stand out and also helps HR in finding your impact. - Numbers = Results = Value Example:- (Without vs With Quantification) -I generated revenue for the company during my internship period. -I generated revenue of 150k+ in just 60 days. -Improved ad strategies, resulting in cost reduction - Improved ad strategies, resulting in a cost savings of ₹5,000 per campaign. You can see the difference right? Here are some suggestions that you can use in your resume:- 1. Increased sales by a certain percentage. 2. Generated revenue growth of ₹X. 3. Increased online engagement by Y% 4. Achieved Cost savings of ₹X 5. Reduced processing time by Y%. 6. Led a team that completed a project X% ahead of schedule and so on... How to find numbers in your current role? - Focus on your results and efficiency - Your contribution to the team's success. - Use specific figures, percentages, or amounts to quantify achievements. Always remember that Quantification showcases that you are better. Follow Aditya for more. #big4 #resumewriting #keyfactors

📄 1 Page or 2 Pages? The Resume Dilemma! 🤔 In the past week, I've had the pleasure of working with some amazing students, and one piece of advice they were given was: “Keep your resume to one page!” I saw so many resumes packed with small text, minimal white space, and formatting that was hard too read. For many starting out, a single page is perfect for showcasing relevant skills and experiences in a concise way. 🎓✨ That said, if your early career already shows significant accomplishments and experience, don’t hesitate to expand onto a second page! Just make sure that every section highlights value and relevance to the role you're pursuing. For students and new grads, brevity is often your friend. But if you’ve had standout experiences—internships, leadership roles, or projects—don’t feel constrained by the one-page rule. Whether you have one page or two, it’s crucial to keep your resume clean, readable, and visually appealing. Quality over quantity! What’s your resume style? 1 page or 2? Let me know your thoughts!👇 #CareerTips #ResumeAdvice #JobSearch #Students #EarlyCareer #ResumeBuilding
