🌿 Episode 19 - Welcoming Balance 🌿 Did you know that embracing balance can lead to greater peace and clarity in your life? As Lao Tzu wisely states in the Tao Te Ching: “There is a time for being ahead, a time for being behind; a time for being in motion, a time for being at rest; a time for being vigorous, a time for being exhausted; a time for being safe, a time for being in danger. The Master sees things as they are, without trying to control them. She lets them go their own way, and resides at the center of the circle.” In Episode 19 – Welcoming Balance, we explore: 📌 How to release the need to control life’s movements and embrace the natural balance that arises from within. 📌 Recognizing moments when we try to “fix” or “control,” and instead inviting stillness and guidance. 📌 Setting the Intention to reside at the center, allowing love and compassion to guide us through life’s ups and downs. Join us in this week’s Soulful Practice to welcome balance and meet life’s challenges with peace and grace. Affirmation for the Week: Help me let go of control, embrace stillness, and meet life’s moments with balance and peace. This one is for the Moms.... (and Dads of course, but today I'm talking to my Mom Tribe) ⭐ Because honestly.... who isn't feeling a little overwhelmed... so much going on, many of us juggling work and home, combined with the guilt that often goes with loving our work, which let's face it can often be easier than parenting the kids... 𝗦𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀..... I have to be honest, for me, it’s always felt like a bit of a buzzword, I mean, kind of ‘got it’ but then didn’t know how I could find MORE time in my day to do all the things that I thought ‘Being Mindful’ meant. And this is why I 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗗 our latest Future Smart Parent podcast episode with Helen on all things Mindfulness for Parents: How to stay sane in an insane world. Helen Nicholson shares 2 practical, and easy mindfulness techniques for parents to get started with during our conversation for our latest Future Smart Parent podcast episode…. 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 --> https://lnkd.in/dNWKkui2 I think you’ll be surprised at the simplicity of what she shares, but also the potential that these two routines have for bringing more mindful moments and headspace to us and our family. 👪 #mindfulness #parentingtips #mentalhealth #stressmanagement #parentinghacks #familywellness #mindfulparenting #selfcare #parentingadvice #HelenNicholson

🎙️EP5: My Sobriety Journey as a Process – Sober Session with Claire Robbie This is Dry July special episode of the Wellbeing Provocateur Podcast, an interview I did with Claire Robbie, Director of The School of Modern Meditation, back in June 2024. In this exclusive Sober Session, I speak to Claire about my sobriety journey as a process. And what a process it has been! Claire also shares her experiences on her path to sobriety too – the same stories that inspired me to get to this point. We go on all sorts of tangents but the some of the things we cover include: 🍹Initial attempts and the role of relapses in the recovery process 🍹Impact of sobriety on my personal and professional life 🍹Positive changes experienced after achieving sobriety 🍹Importance of meditation, self-awareness, and continuous learning 🍹The role of accountability and a supportive environment 🍹Strategies to handle relapses and get back on track 🍹Recommendations and resources for others on the sobriety path 🍹Encouragement for others to pursue a sober lifestyle "The reason I was so excited to chat with Philly is that she's so open about her sobriety journey being a process, rather than being fixated on perfection. Philly was always really open and honest about how she was going and I truly believe that her honesty with me, and with herself is one of the foundations of the paradigm shift she's experienced with her perception and beliefs around drinking." - Claire Robbie Whether you’re doing Dry July or just sober curious, settle in and enjoy our conversation. ▶️ LISTEN NOW ON SPOTIFY https://lnkd.in/dvXfa87h Are you currently on your sober journey or thinking of becoming alcohol free and what stood out for you the most in this episode? I listened to a podcast today with James M. about creativity. It reminded me how being well is a creative process. When we rely on what is "logical" (ie: calories in calories out), it becomes stressful. When we stay curious we gain access to our intuition and inner guidance from our body, we can get creative with ways to Be Well Now. Curiosity keeps us present. Since you can only be well now, #mindfulness is a key part of well-being. The first thing I teach patients and clients is how to find their natural alignment, so they can #rest. They are surprised that a #clinicalexercisephysiologist is starting a session by not moving, but as they quickly discover, this foundation of knowing how to rest in their body is powerful. They smile and relax. Rather than starting in the #stress state, they are starting by meeting themselves where they are. This is an often overlooked first step. As one man just said to me "I've had back pain for 14 years, and no one ever told me how to do this! I have no #pain right now, this is amazing!". It takes courage to rest, to not dive into moving but to meet your body where it is now. That #courage leads the way to #creativity and #presence and #compassion and paves the way to move to reduce rather than add to stress and strain and pain. May you find the courage to rest today!
