I’m excited to complete my Program Management Internship at CommScope! Here’s the 60 second recap ☕️: ⭐️ Over the past 12 weeks, I had the incredible opportunity to serve as the Product Owner for the CS Portal. The CS Portal is an enterprise product that serves as a central hub for One Cell sites, supporting end-to-end project workflow management, live site KPI visualization, and on-demand performance reporting. 👉 Simply put, it’s a one-stop shop for CommScope’s One Cell sites. As the Product Owner, my role involved ensuring that the CS Portal aligned with business objectives and met user needs. This essentially means representing the voice of the customer and ensuring the product delivers value and meets user’s needs. 🤝 Some highlights from my 12 weeks include: ✨ Understanding the product vision and constructing a roadmap that outlines major milestones, feature releases, and timelines. ✨Identifying user pain points, gathering requirements, and creating a product backlog. ✨ Leading the entire product development cycle, from drafting the PRD to launch and optimization. ✨ Serving as the main point of contact for all product features and issues. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to my managers Adam Kakalia, PMP and Kunle Ladipo, PMP for trusting me with the biggest problems and constantly vouching for me throughout this journey. 💫 I also wanted to extend my gratitude to the ICN leadership team at CommScope (Upendra S. I’ve always thought "interpersonal communication" was an overrated skill. 😅 Here’s why I was completely wrong: One of my biggest takeaways from leading product development at CommScope as an intern is how crucial effective communication is for success. You're constantly conveying ideas through different contexts, and the moment you fail to adapt your communication style, everything breaks down. 🛑 I realized this early in my internship while conducting user research for an internal tool I was leading the development for. 👉 I quickly learned that how you craft your questions greatly impacts the feedback you receive. The better you (1) empathize with a user and (2) guide them to express their pain points, the more detailed the feedback you get. This leads to a more effective discovery stage, allowing you to build something that truly meets the user's needs. 📊 Key takeaway: Effective interpersonal communication isn't just a "soft skill"—it's a critical driver of success in every stage of product development. -- Excited to make an impact and share what I learn! 🚀 Stay tuned!

I never thought “cellular connectivity” could be even remotely interesting. Turns out I was wrong. 🤷♂️ Recently, I got the chance to visit the AT&T Stadium as a CommScope intern. Standing in the heart of the AT&T Cowboys Stadium, I was overwhelmed by its sheer size. 👉 Covering 73 acres, this colossal venue can hold up to 100,000 people—enough to fit the Statue of Liberty inside it, with room to spare! There are also an astonishing 25,000 square feet of video displays in the stadium. Now, here’s what really blew my mind 😳: Recently, the stadium broke the record for the most cellular data consumed during a single event EVER on the WHOLE planet. During Taylor Swift's concert (who else? 😅), over 75 terabytes of data were processed in just 3️⃣ hours through CommScope's systems. ✨ To put that into perspective, one terabyte is equivalent to almost 6 million documents or 500 hours of video. (Now multiply that by 75!) Understanding the scale of operations needed to bring cellular data to the stadium was absolutely breathtaking. This experience truly opened my eyes to the future of connectivity. 🙌 ---- Excited to share what I learn! 🚀 Stay tuned! P.S. I’ve always been fascinated by “no name” companies that we constantly interact with without knowing. Turns out I’m interning for one. Here’s what I learned ☕️: 👉CommScope? Probably never heard of it.  But you've likely interacted with the company more times than you can count. Turns out, CommScope’s network covers more than half of any communication that might happen in the U.S. Think💡: watching TV, streaming on your phone, accessing a wifi network. Commscope provides everything from fiber connectivity for cell phone towers to wifi connectivity for mega venues. 👉 Ex: 21/30 NFL stadiums, Facebook data centers/offices, Costcos, Universities. CommScope is also the leading provider for in-building cellular connectivity globally. What does that mean? 💭 ✨ CommScope provides the ability to use cell service in areas that require an ENORMOUS amount of coverage and capacity. Think 💡: largest stadiums, busiest airports, most visited venues 👉 Ex: Doha International Airport, Sydney Harbor Bridge, Metro Berlin, THE Burj Khalifa… CommScope supports separate cellular solutions for all these venues due to: 1️⃣ Sheer size of the buildings that obstruct outside signals 2️⃣ The amount of usage of the networks itself. So, the next time you're using your phone in a large public venue, think about how you're getting service. 😉

I completed my first week as a program management intern. Here's three things I learned: ☕️ 1️⃣ Communication is Key. In a face paced environment with many moving projects, clear, constant, and quick communication is crucial. Everyone needs to be in sync, especially when projects include external stakeholders from companies like Meta, AT&T, Costco, etc. (Oh btw, corporate lingo is definitely a thing 😉) 2️⃣ Ask Questions: One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that most people are happy to help. Asking questions and seeking guidance not only helps you learn faster but also shows your commitment to doing the job well. 🛑 You aren't expected to know it all. But, you have to take the initiative to ask. 3️⃣ Get Uncomfortable: It’s natural to stick to areas you're familiar with. But that defeats the purpose of the internship. Explore projects and sectors that push you past your comfort zone. You're surrounded by extremely talented people in various fields. Excited to wrap-up my first week as a Program Management intern at CommScope! 🥳 The warm welcome from the team was incredible and It's been thrilling to dive into CommScope’s processes and cutting-edge projects. The culture here is fast-paced and dynamic, and I've identified key areas where I can make a notable difference. I'm looking forward to diving deeper into projects, and continuing to grow both personally and professionally.
