What an amazing day! For the first time, YRF joined the @jcrcny_israeldayonfifth Celebrate Israel Parade in support of Darca Schools! 🇮🇱
As the sun shined down on Fifth Ave, 35 members of our YRF Community walked, sang, danced, and celebrated Israel, alongside 100,000 other marchers.
The experience was truly incredible and reminded us that even in the darkest of times, we are not alone. Am Yisrael Chai — The People of Israel LIVE! 💙

The lives of everyone connected to Israel and Palestine will never be the same since October 7, 2023. With tens of thousands of lives lost, families torn apart, and children traumatized, now more than ever, we need to continue to show up for one another to mourn, remember, and call for an end to the violence and demand a political solution that brings freedom, justice, and safety for all.
Israelis and Palestinians need the international community to join together around our shared grief to heal and build hope that another way is not only possible but imperative.
This year will be the 19th annual joint Israeli-Palestinian Memorial Day ceremony organized by Combatants for Peace and the Parents Circle-Families Forum. The Ceremony will take place on May 12, 2024. This year, Combatants for Peace and the Parents Circle-Families Forum will center the ceremony around the stories of children whose only crime was being born Palestinian or Israeli. What will be the future of the next generation? How can we bring hope amidst so much tragedy?

NOT SHAMEFUL TO REMEMBER
Memories of war enable our society to remember the past, to express appreciation to those who sacrificed their lives and willingly served our country.
At the same time we also need to acknowledge and accept that on occasions, events and happenings from the past, which would be considered unnecessary today, occurred for significant and highly acceptable reasons.
Those of us today should never feel guilt nor shame for these actions, which some are constantly demanding that we do.
This is why we, as Australians, come together every ANZAC Day.
We do it to commemorate the ANZAC’s and their achievements: we should remember them though, not as old soldiers from a forgotten war, but as the young Australians each of them were in 1915, when they left our shores to defend Australia.
Remembering moments from our history allows us as a society to learn from them and to move forward in a positive and determined manner.
We cannot change history and nor should we, but we can and should learn from it.
Australians young and old, will always remember them.

'Hamas’ terrorist attack on the Tribe of Nova music festival was heartbreaking.
It would have been America’s worst mass-shooting event of all time had it happened on US soil. At least 260 young people were butchered (60 were killed in the worst such shooting in American history, at a 2016 Las Vegas festival).
Having grown up in Queens’ Queensbridge projects, I’ve lived through many traumatic events, but I’ve never seen anything like this: 80% of bodies were tortured, including electrocuted, burned alive, limbs cut off, eyes gouged out and, again and again, the targeted rape of women and girls. Captors referred to very young girls they kidnapped as “concubines.” Hamas took at least 222 hostages from many nations, including America, into Gaza, where evidence has already emerged of continuing sexual abuse.
As someone who has dedicated my post-NBA career to ensuring people get the mental-health support they need, I cannot fathom the mental-health crisis this terrorist attack has inflicted on Israelis. What’s happened in Israel isn’t war; it is inhumanity.
Pro-Hamas rallies have taken place in my hometown of New York under the guise of promoting peace. These rallies, unfortunately, have done nothing to promote peace; instead, they justify terror against innocent civilians. While freedom of expression is crucial, it’s essential to distinguish between advocating for peace and supporting groups that refuse to condemn atrocities against innocent civilians.
If you want to help Palestinians, the best way to support them is by first supporting tangible steps toward peace by freeing Gaza from Hamas and letting the Palestinian people decide their own future without being controlled by a repressive terrorist organization.
Free Gaza from Hamas and its injustice once and for all. Only then will we have a chance at peace.'
