As we move past International Women's Day, it's crucial as we continue striving to make this world better, advocating for women's rights, gender equality, and equality overall. It's essential to reflect and urge all female leaders—managers, directors, CFOs, essentially anyone in a leadership position—to intentionally mentor young women in their respective fields. And when doing so, may they do it in a manner that doesn't dim the light of the young individuals entering the spaces they lead. It's vital at this stage to call upon female leaders in our society not to lead in a manner that tries to surpass their male counterparts in managing, but rather to deliberately nurture the next generation of young female leaders. If your mentee or the person you are mentoring or managing shows potential, substantial potential, don't be intimidated by it. Instead, celebrate it as an indicator that the sector, the world, society, will be in a better place when this young individual steps into your role or a similar one. Don't extinguish that light. From this day forward, I urge all female leaders to strive for better leadership, better mentoring. Don't groom, but mentor and empower the young people in your space to excel. #internationalwomensday #internationalwomensmonth

There are more founders named Michael, David and Andrew than there are women unicorn CEOs. At this rate, we won’t reach equal gender representation until 2063. https://lnkd.in/dMwzqcyr Myriad studies show diverse teams deliver better results, including in downturns - so improving diversity in tougher times seems a no brainer. Case in point: the elite public unicorn club has higher gender diversity at the top - 14% female CEOs (2) and 21% female co-founders (3).

How female representation can transform leadership! Gender diversity isn't just a "nice-to-have" It's a "must-have" Women bring a unique perspective that leads to better decision-making - They identify with more diverse stakeholders - They are better at reading non-verbal cues - They approach problems with different angles. And let's not forget about representation, too. So, to all women out there, let's keep climbing, keep encouraging. #womensday
