Integrity, intelligence, and energy = a great hire.
Somebody (Warren Buffet) once said that in looking for people to hire, you look for above 3 qualities. And if you don't have the first, the other two will kill you. Integrity is the central pillar that holds all three together or the structure collapses.
Sadly this is not the case in most organisations. However, in organisations where integrity is above everything else it gets to be showcased in the overall organisational culture and values and every professional strives to get a chance to work in such an organisation.
🟢 Green Flags in Employment 🟢
We always see posts and articles about all of the red flags to spot during an interview or your first few weeks in a new job or company. Not many people talk about the positive things to look out for.
What are your green flags at work? Here are a few of mine:
🟩 The interviewer sounds passionate or excited when speaking about the company they work for.
🟩 They answer your questions very clearly about progression and advancement.
🟩 The salary and benefits are communicated at the right time.
🟩 Your first day has structure and a purpose.
🟩 Managers understand the unpredictability of life (child care, traffic, cancelled trains etc)
What would you add to the list?
Ajay S. and I put together a short webinar on rising stronger after job loss. Together, we share key principles and along with interviewing several folks in various stages of their process:

This is a fantastic question that deserves a closer look. It unveils a critical challenge within the realm of HR evaluation. While traditional methods emphasize impressive degrees and certifications, a vital quality often gets overlooked: the hustle.
Here's the rub: HR professionals, who might not be technical wizards themselves, rely heavily on resumes to assess a candidate's fit. The irony? Resumes might not always capture the essence of a true hustler. Someone brimming with drive, adaptability, and problem-solving prowess could be passed over simply because their credentials lack a certain lustre.
Now, let's address the "silver spoon" effect. Flashy degrees and certifications can undoubtedly grab an HR rep's attention. But these accolades don't guarantee real-world skills and the hustler's spirit.
The bottom line? Discovering a genuine hustler requires a discerning eye. Resumes provide a glimpse, but it's the individual with the sharp ability to assess potential beyond the conventional markers who will unearth the true gems. These are the individuals who might not have the most impressive pedigree but possess the grit and ingenuity to excel in the role.
