However, navigating the uncharted waters of blue bonds requires careful consideration. From the lack of standardized benchmarks to the complexities of impact measurement, asset managers must be prepared to tackle a range of challenges head-on. In our latest blog by Vignesh Rajaram and Venkatareddy Sabbella, we explore the key factors that asset managers should consider when evaluating blue bond opportunities. By embracing a rigorous approach to due diligence and staying attuned to the unique dynamics of the blue economy, asset managers can position themselves at the forefront of this exciting new market. Thrilled to have attended the BISNOW: DUBLIN'S PROPERTY PULSE: STATE OF THE MARKET event this morning! Insightful discussions and thought-provoking sessions highlighted the dynamic landscape of Dublin's real estate market. One key takeaway resonated: the need to prioritise ESG criteria in asset management. It's crystal clear that understanding your asset's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria is no longer just a "nice to have." It's an absolute necessity in today's market. Incorporating ESG principles isn't just about ticking boxes; it's about future-proofing investments, fostering sustainable growth and contributing positively to communities and the environment. #ESG #RealEstate #Sustainability #DublinPropertyPulse #Hollis

Carbon offsets have been getting a lot of bad press... Given their fiduciary duty, institutional investors' relationship with offsets is more complex. Rachel Barrack and I have been looking into how long-term investors can navigate the challenges of nascent carbon markets and support global decarbonisation efforts. Read more about carbon offsets, and more of the team's investment perspectives, below!
