One of the many things we've learned from the #jumpintojuicing challenge is you have to give your fruits/veggies plenty of "personal space" Did YOU know that❓ Determining whether to store your produce in or out of the fridge is only half of the battle - the other factor you have to consider is whether you can store specific fruits and veggies together, or if you should separate them. 1. Honey jelly – a traditional sweet dish Jelly honey is a delicious and easy-to-make traditional dessert that is often enjoyed during festive occasions or to enjoy at leisure. Here's how to make honey jelly at home: Material: 100ml pure honey 500ml filtered water 10g gelatin (or 1 packet powdered gelatin) 2-3 teaspoons lemon juice (optional) Guide: Gelatin Preparation: Put the gelatin in a small bowl and add about 100ml of filtered water. Let stand for about 5-10 minutes for the gelatin to rise. Cooking honey water: Bring the remaining water (400ml) to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat. When the water starts to boil, reduce the heat and stir in the honey. Gelatin Combination: Once the honey water is hot, add the expanded gelatin and stir well until the gelatin dissolves completely. If you like, lemon juice can be added for a refreshing flavor. Cast: Pour the mixture into molds (or small cups) and let cool. Then, refrigerate for about 4-6 hours or until the jelly sets. Enjoy: Once the jelly has set, you can cut it into small pieces and enjoy. Honey jelly can be further garnished with fresh fruit or mint leaves if desired. 2. How to grow tomatoes at home Growing tomatoes at home will not only help you get fresh tomatoes, but it will also be a relaxing and rewarding activity. Here are the detailed instructions: Material: Tomato seeds Cropland (organic soil or mixed vegetable soil) Pots or planting trays Organic fertilizer (optional) Guide: Seed preparation: Choose the right tomato variety for your climate and growing space. Soak the tomato seeds in warm water for about 30 minutes to stimulate germination. Planting seeds: Pour the planting soil into pots or planting trays, water the soil with moisture. Spread the tomato seeds on the ground and cover with a thin layer of soil on top. Water gently to keep the soil moist. Young Tree Care: Place the pot in full sunlight and keep the soil moist but not flooded. When the tomato plant is about 10-15 cm tall and has 2-3 true leaves, it is possible to move the plant outside the garden or larger pot. Tomato Plant Care: Provide organic fertilizer to the plant periodically to help the plant grow vigorously and bear fruit. Water regularly and ensure the plant is protected from pests and diseases. Harvest: Tomatoes usually ripen in about 60-80 days after germination. When the tomatoes turn bright red and feel firm, you can harvest them. Honey jelly is a delicious traditional dish that is often served as a dessert or snack. With its natural sweetness and honey aroma, this dish is not only easy to make, but also very nutritious. Material: 1 cup pure honey 1 cup filtered water 1 packet of colorless gelatin (about 10g) 1/2 cup sugar (optional, if sweeter jam) A little lemon juice (optional, for acidity to help the gelatin freeze better) Instructions for making: Preparation of gelatin: In a small bowl, combine the gelatin in 1/2 cup of cold water. Let stand for about 5 minutes for the gelatin to rise. Boil the honey mixture: In a small saucepan, bring honey and 1/2 cup water to a boil. Stir well to combine. Thêm Gelatin: Once the honey mixture is hot (no need to boil), add the expanded gelatin and stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Add Sugar and Lemonade: If desired, you can add sugar and lemon juice to the mixture. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Pour into the mold: Pour the mixture into the prepared mold. Allow to cool at room temperature and then refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the jam to set. Enjoy: Once the jam is frozen, you can cut it into small pieces and enjoy. Honey jam can be served with bread, cheese or eaten directly. How To Grow Tomatoes At Home About growing tomatoes Growing tomatoes at home not only brings fresh fruit, but it is also a fun and rewarding activity. Tomatoes are easy to grow and can grow well in both pots and gardens. Prepare: Tomato seeds (choose the right variety for your climate and conditions) Cultivated soil (nutrient-rich and well-drained soil) Pot or garden Fertilizer and water Planting instructions: Seed preparation: Soak tomato seeds in warm water for about 30 minutes before sowing to stimulate germination. Soil preparation: The soil needs to be loosened and nutritious. You can mix the soil with compost to improve soil quality. Sowing: Sow tomato seeds in pots or directly into the soil about 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) deep. Make sure the spacing between the seeds is 1 inch (2.5 cm) so that the plant has enough space to grow. Plant Care: Provide water regularly and make sure the soil is always moist but not flooded. Tomatoes need at least 6-8 hours of sunlight per day. Manure: Fertilize tomato plants every 2-3 weeks to provide the nutrients needed for growth and fruiting. Tree Support: Tomato plants may need to be supported with stakes or netting to keep the stems upright and avoid contact with the soil. Harvest: Tomatoes usually ripen 60-85 days after sowing. Harvest when the fruit has turned red and has moderate hardness. Note: Plant tomatoes in the hot season and avoid regions with cold climates. New Post: PICKLING MUSHROOMS - https://lnkd.in/dVCjAzik PICKLING MUSHROOM PRESERVATION Initially developed to preserve fresh produce, many people choose to pickle mushrooms purely because they enjoy the resulting flavours. Pickling is not the same as canning, and it can be confusing as many people also can their pickles to make them last longer. Canning uses heat sterilization to preserve foods, while pickling uses acidity. Mushrooms, like cucumbers, aren’t acidic, so you need to add vinegar when pickling them. HOW TO PICKLE MUSHROOMS The process for pickling mushrooms is slightly different from other vegetables and uses an oil-and-vinegar-based marinade instead of vinegar and brine. PREPARATION Mushrooms that have a nice firm texture when cooked are great for pickling, and you can pickle small mushrooms whole. If you are pickling large mushrooms, slice them lengthways or cut them into chunks that fit into your jar.Trim any bruised or damaged sections and clean off loose dirt and debris. Lightly sauté, boil or roast the mushrooms depending on the type of mushroom & personal taste. Make sure not to overcook them as you want them to be firm. PREPARE THE MARINADE Combine equal parts of olive oil and vinegar of choice, around half a cup of each per pound (0.45 kg) of mushrooms. Then add other vegetables if desired and fresh or dried herbs. It's made in one pot, completely customizable, and ready in about 30 minutes! https://lnkd.in/e7qX8PaG Serves 4 INGREDIENTS 1 tablespoon olive oil 1/2 cup chopped onion, any color, I used white onion 2 stalks celery, chopped 2 carrots, peeled and chopped, or 1 cup baby carrots, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced, or 1 teaspoon pre-minced garlic 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Salt and freshly ground black pepper 1 small head green cabbage, cored and chopped 8 ounces sliced mushrooms, button or cremini 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes 2 -3 cups vegetable broth 1 zucchini, cut into bite-size pieces Chopped fresh parsley for serving, optional INSTRUCTIONS Heat the oil in a large stock pot or saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the onion, celery, and carrots and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until the vegetables soften. Add the garlic and Italian seasoning and cook for 1 minute, until the herbs are fragrant. Stir in the cabbage and mushrooms. Cook for 2 minutes, until the cabbage starts to soften, stirring frequently. Add the crushed tomatoes and 2 cups of the vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, partially cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Add the zucchini and simmer for 5 minutes. For a thinner soup, add more vegetable broth if desired. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. Top with parsley, if using, and serve.

There are several varieties of avocados, each with its own unique characteristics. Some common varieties include Hass, Bacon, Fuerte, Reed, and Pinkerton. The Hass avocado is the most popular and widely available, known for its creamy texture and rich flavor. Bacon avocados are larger and have smooth, thin skin, and their flavor is milder compared to other varieties. Fuerte avocados have a smooth, pear-like shape and a more watery texture, and they're often used in salads. Reed avocados are large and have a creamy texture with a mild flavor. Pinkerton avocados are known for their oval shape and rich, nutty flavor. These different avocado varieties have varying fruiting seasons. Avocado trees typically have a specific fruiting window based on the variety and local climate. While some varieties may have overlapping harvest periods, others may bear fruit at slightly different times, thereby extending the overall avocado season in a region so ideally if you have the room plsnt a range if species to have fruit for longer each year.. Factors such as temperature, rainfall, and sunlight play a role in the fruiting time of avocados.

1. About Honey Jelly Honey jam is a traditional dessert, often loved for its natural sweetness and aromatic plasticity. This dish is very popular in different cultures and is usually made from pure honey. 2. Ingredients: 1 cup pure honey 2 cups water 1 packet gelatin (or 2 teaspoons gelatin powder) 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, to enhance flavor) 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional) 3. Instructions for making: Prepare the gelatin: Boil 1/2 cup of water and dissolve the gelatin powder in hot water. Let cool. Cooking Honey: Boil the remaining 1 cup of water, then stir in the honey. Combining Gelatin and Honey: Once the honey mixture has boiled, reduce the temperature and stir in the dissolved gelatin. If using lemon juice and vanilla essence, add at this time. Pour the Mold: Pour the mixture into the mold and allow it to cool completely before placing it in the refrigerator to solidify. The freezing time can be from 3-4 hours. Complete: Once the jam has solidified, you can cut it into small shapes or use a mold to create interesting shapes. 4. Storage: Store honey jam in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator to preserve its deliciousness. II. How To Grow Tomatoes At Home 1. Introduction: Tomato plants are one of the easiest vegetables to grow and give high yields. Growing tomatoes at home not only provides fresh food, but it is also a fun activity. 2. You can use a mixture of vegetable soil or mix it yourself with organic fertilizer. Pot or Planting Box: If growing in a pot, choose a pot with a minimum size of 30 cm. 3. Planting instructions: Sowing: Sow tomato seeds in the soil about 0.5 cm deep and keep moist. Place the pot in direct light.
