We're halfway through 2024, which sadly means approximately 150,000 more men have been diagnosed with prostate cancer this year. You can make a difference for these patients by giving to our limited-time matching gift fund! The Schwartz Family has stepped forward to match every donation – dollar for dollar – made to ZERO Prostate Cancer, up to $10,000. But you must act fast – this matching gift expires at midnight tomorrow. Our goal is to secure funding that will allow all patients to access help as they face their diagnoses. Give at zerocancer.org/give-now. #ZEROProstateCancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and for us it holds a deeply personal meaning. We were young mums when we were diagnosed with breast cancer, juggling mum life, and chemo appointments all at once. It’s a journey that was filled with challenges, but also resilience and courage. This month, we will be out in the community sharing our stories to raise awareness. While it's often seen as something that affects older women, the truth is that young people can be diagnosed too. Donations to our charity go towards providing tangible support to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation and all donations are tax deductible. https://lnkd.in/gazTqRGp Together, we can make a difference in the lives of cancer patients. 💕 #quietcouragefoundation #quietcourage #breastcancerawareness #octoberbreastcancerawareness #breastcancerawarenessmonth #cancercarecharity #tangiblesupportforcancerpatients #dgrcharity #taxdeductibledonation #cancercarebox

It's World Cancer Day. This year, the Alberta Cancer Foundation is shining a light on the economic challenges of facing a cancer diagnosis. Once diagnosed with cancer, an individual could require medical and specialized care for months (if not years). A recent study concluded that the economic burden of cancer in Canada, including travel and accommodation costs, parking, out-of-pocket expenses and income loss averages, could be be as high as $2,500/month per patient. It's particularly challenging for those who have to travel far distances for treatments, which is frankly the reality for many. That's where the Alberta Cancer Foundation Patient Financial Assistance program comes in. It's to provide a little boost for those facing a difficult cancer diagnosis who might have to travel for treatments, arrange child care or perhaps lose employment income. Entirely funded by generous donors, it's all about Albertans helping Albertans.
Today, on World Cancer Day, your generosity can go twice as far! Support our Patient Financial Assistance Program, offering crucial relief for eligible Albertans facing cancer, like Michael Kosterman. Your impact means everything to the eligible families affected by cancer in every community across the province. This includes Michael, an acute myeloid leukemia survivor from Duchess, Alberta. Thanks to an anonymous donor, every donation made today will be matched, up to $200,000, to have double the impact for this incredibly important program. Please give generously: https://lnkd.in/g-PpEqci #Albertacancer #WorldCancerDay2024 #PatientFinancialAssistance #Costofcancer #Givetoday

We are also proud to support the Pink Fund, which offers financial relief to patients in treatment, covering critical non-medical costs like rent and transportation. Hi everyone Alison, Ellen, Lilli and I (aka Team "Breast Efforts") are back in 2024 as part of the Mater Foundation International Women’s Day Fun Run! We're raising funds to support women with breast cancer now and into the future. By making a donation, you can play a part in improving treatments and care for women diagnosed with breast cancer. When you donate, you’re helping to support counselling services and supply practical items like mastectomy bras and wigs after surgery and chemotherapy. You’ll also be supporting world leading research that focuses on improving survival rates and working towards a world where ALL women diagnosed with breast cancer survive. Ultimately, you’ll help make life easier for women with breast cancer today and save more lives tomorrow. As little as $65 can make a profound impact and take some of the stress off women with breast cancer and their families. Please, if you possibly can, will you donate today? https://lnkd.in/gKYdtSe2 #breastcancer #breastcancerawareness #breastcancerresearch

Childhood brain cancer is becoming more common, while adult diagnoses continue to decline. Yet, most of the money that is devoted to studying brain cancer focuses on finding new treatments for adults. Your donation today has the power to change this. Your support funds science that focuses on diagnosing and treating tumors in young, developing brains. And thanks to a generous donor, your donation will be matched dollar for dollar until the end of #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth. Every dollar you donate is doubled. Every dollar goes farther toward accelerating progress toward effective treatments for childhood brain cancer that will help kids not only survive but thrive.
