Forecasting of global markets predict a WHOPPING value of 24 BILLION U.S dollars using XAI What is XAI? Imagine a black box that produces amazing results, but you have no idea how it does it. This is often the case with traditional AI models. XAI aims to open that black box, providing insights into how AI models arrive at their decisions. This helps build trust, identify potential biases, and improve overall model performance. 1. Personalised pricing: Explainable pricing models could show customers how factors like demand, competition, and individual purchase history influence pricing. This improves trust and transparency, potentially reducing buyer friction. 2. Targeted advertising: Imagine ads explained! XAI could reveal which user characteristics and behaviours trigger ad recommendations, empowering users to refine their ad experience and increasing the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. 3. Algorithmic bias detection: XAI tools could scan e-commerce algorithms for unintentional biases based on factors like race, gender, or location. This proactive approach ensures fairness and helps avoid discriminatory outcomes for users. XAI is still evolving, but its potential to improve trust, fairness, and effectiveness in e-commerce is undeniable. As this technology advances, we can expect more AI models that provide valuable insights and ultimately enhance the online shopping experience for everyone. Online shops and marketplaces have become an extension of social media, which can sometimes be problematic. According to "The Empowered Consumer" research by Accenture, which was shared on Hospital Technology, 19,000 consumers across 12 countries have experienced this. 73% of consumers are feeling information overload because of the variety of products, and 75% feel bombarded by a lot of advertising. The result? 74% of purchases were abandoned in the last three months of 2023. Additionally, 71% of buyers express that they have to spend more effort to make a final decision. 41% think it has become harder, and only 30% didn’t see changes. I often talk about how more options are important and how promotional tools can leverage sellers' revenues. But sellers and online shop owners need to take care of the customer experience in this way as well. Sometimes long descriptions or too short ones can make people even more indecisive. I believe there should be a balance. As HT emphasizes, this balance can be brought with generative AI. It can streamline decision-making and enhance consumer engagement, as 51% of consumers are open to using conversational AI for product research and purchases. #ai #generativeai

Love it or hate it, AI is here to stay. It’s been a useful tool for e-commerce businesses for a while now, but in 2023 it hit the mainstream with generative AI—showing consumers just how powerful it can be. With AI becoming increasingly prolific, it’s clear why it ranks as #2 for 2024 e-commerce trends. For online retailers, AI can be a powerful tool that helps them: Personalize customer experiences and recommendations. Optimize everything from supply chain logistics to inventory management. Fine-tune their digital marketing strategies and reach their target audiences more effectively. It’s no wonder that 97.2% of businesses are investing in big data and AI. And 91% of top businesses report having an ongoing investment in AI—which they’re hoping to increase. Retailers who remain wary of artificial intelligence and machine learning will soon find themselves in trouble. Instead of avoiding the technology, integrate it into your 2024 e-commerce strategy thoughtfully and intentionally. Understand the risks, build trust through transparency and be proactive in facing common challenges.

🤖 Warning: Your "AI-Powered" Product Could Be a Colossal Flop 🚫 Attention all tech marketers, brand gurus, and savvy entrepreneurs! Brace yourselves, because a bombshell study from Washington State University is about to rock your AI-selling world. 💥 It turns out that slapping the term "AI" or "artificial intelligence" onto your product descriptions could be tanking sales faster than you can say "neural network." Yep, that's right - consumers seem to be actively turned off by blatant AI marketing, especially for big-ticket items like TVs, medical devices, and financial services. The study surveyed 1,000 adults, presenting them with AI-branded offerings across 8 different product categories. And the results were crystal clear: people's "emotional trust" plummeted when AI was explicitly mentioned, making them far less likely to whip out their wallets. 💸 It's a bitter pill for companies who've been madly AI-washing everything from vacuum cleaners to sales services in hopes of cashing in on the buzzword hype. But as the researchers put it, heavy-handed "AI" labeling just ain't doing it for today's skeptical consumers. So what's a tech brand to do? Well, for starters, they may want to tone down the AI chest-thumping and let the stellar capabilities speak for themselves. Or find sneakier ways to hint at machine learning smarts without ringing those "unreliable robot" alarm bells. One thing's for sure - in this AI-saturated market, the companies that strike the right balance of transparency and nuance are the ones that'll win over wary buyers. The rest risk getting left behind as little more than outdated "intelligence" punchlines. 🃏 Follow me for more amazing news on emerging technologies 💥⚡ #ArtificialIntelligence #ProductMarketing #Branding #Consumers #Algorithms https://lnkd.in/eZkC5N3d

I'm super excited to announce a new feature to improve ecommerce conversion: Gleen AI Automated Needs-Based Assessments & Recommendations. It's a mouthful, so we're calling them Gleen ANBARs for short. So what is an ANBAR? Online merchants have long resorted to buying guides or quizzes to improve shopper engagement, better understand shoppers' needs, enhance the relevance of products/services shown the shoppers, and improve conversion. These buying guides & quizzes often: - Require a lot of time and effort to create and maintain - Are separate, siloed user experiences - Don't take into consideration what's already known about the shopper and their needs Introducing Gleen AI Automated Needs-Based Assessments & Recommendations. With ANBARs, Gleen AI automatically: - Crawls your online store - Develops questions to determine the needs of shoppers - Incorporates existing context/knowledge into the needs assessment -- e.g., if a shopper asks, "What mattresses do you have for hot sleepers?", Gleen AI will NOT ask "Are you a hot or cold sleeper?" - Automatically creates a list of relevant products based on the shoppers needs No manual creation or maintenance of a quiz or buying guide. All automated with AI, all the time. Sound too good to be true? Join us for a live demo next Thursday at 10 AM: https://hubs.li/Q02vtk0Z0 ANBARs: Odd acronym. But extremely cool feature. #ecommerce #generativeAI #cx

What are the actual ecommerce trends to keep an eye on? 👀 With the landscape evolving faster than ever, it's crucial to stay ahead of the game. I read an insightful article by Molly Hayes from IBM on this (link in comments): Molly dives deep into six key trends that are reshaping the global market: artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality, live commerce, online-to-offline ecommerce, social commerce, and voice assistants. 💡 I really believe that social commerce will hit us big in Europe - influencer marketing took a bit to arrive here as well but in my opinion, social commerce will completely redefine the customer journey and value chain. But overall, the AI revolution will definitely keep on changing the game! Personalized shopping experiences, dynamic pricing, chatbots, and virtual assistants are just the beginning. 🤖✨ Its transformative power extends far beyond just making recommendations or improving customer service. It's fundamentally reshaping the way businesses operate and interact with customers, setting the stage for a new era of ecommerce innovation. 🌟 Now, here's a question to ponder: where else along the customer journey can AI be leveraged for maximum impact? From streamlining supply chains to enhancing marketing strategies, the possibilities seem endless. And hey, what about debt collection? 🤔 #ecommerce #trends #technology #ai
