It's not in the powers of the Judiciary to direct parliament on such matters. They can only advice or provide a perspective. if there's any fixing of the law or interpretation of the law in parliament, it must be done by its members who made the law. If interpretation issues arises or not fit for purpose, its remedied through voting or review process. The courts comes in after interpretation is well cleared from parliament. And if the house or head errs in a ruling, there must be internal measures that connects Judiciary (representative) to parliament and currently, that's the missing link to issue. Way forward? find ways to fix law or hold parliament to account internally. #Africa #Law #InterpretationIssuesOrLawFailure #Focus

In the New Zealand governance system, the Executive comprises of the Cabinet, which is linked to the Parliament, since Cabinet Ministers must be Members of Parliament and the Public Service The Executive is too big and too powerful. It dominates the Parliament too easily and there are not enough checks and balances in the New Zealand system. New Zealand is an executive paradise, not a democratic paradise. - comments from Geoffrey Palmer, former PM of NZ #improvinglawmaking #lawmaking #publicrighttoinfluencepolicy #publicpolicy

"Until a law is enacted to make its provisions executory, Article 62(1)(f) of the Constitution stands on a similar footing as Article 62(1)(d), (e) and (g), and serves as a guideline for the voters in exercising their right to vote." The order of the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding Article 62(1)(f) of the Constitution adds an intriguing layer to the legal landscape. The notion that this article, until enacted into law, stands on a parallel footing with other sub-clauses serving as a guiding principle for voters, introduces an element of complexity. It highlights the evolving nature of legal interpretations and underscores the importance of clarity in constitutional provisions. As we navigate through legal intricacies, it becomes crucial to engage in constructive dialogues and seek a harmonious understanding to address any potential confusion. #LegalInsights #ConstitutionalLaw #PakistanSupremeCourt
