ZOFS's support for NYCDDC #Queens Infrastructure has been nationally recognized! Our #ZOFS Resident Engineering Inspection #REI Team, was honored with the ACEC National Recognition Award for our work on a major NYC Department of Design and Construction infrastructure project in #Queens, NYC. This prestigious award, presented at the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Engineering Excellence Awards Gala in Washington DC, is a testament to our team’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and community-focused engineering. About the Project: Project SE 823, as part of the NYCDDC Southeast Queens Initiative, involved the installation of 16’x8’ combined box sewers, a regulator chamber on a 48” interceptor, a sluice gate, a tide gate chamber, distribution and complex water mains, roadway and streetscape improvements, and the relocation of various underground utilities. Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and the complex nature of the large-scale project, our team delivered a successful project that significantly enhanced the local infrastructure and mitigated flooding risks in the community. Our dedicated team of construction managers, resident engineers, office engineers, field inspectors, and community construction liaisons, has been instrumental in delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. We remain committed to bringing the same level of dedication, expertise, and innovation to every project we undertake. We extend our gratitude to NYC DDC leadership who played a crucial role in this project’s success NYC Department of Design and Construction, NYC Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP), New York City Department of Transportation, our JV partner NV5, and the #Laurelton, #Queens community.
