3 Quotes from Walt Disney to help keep you going
We all have role models and people we look up to in business, life, family, etc. For me, Walt Disney has become an inspiration and it's really not hard to explain why. We've all had the opportunity to experience his hard work and devotion...and that's not something most people can accomplish in a lifetime. No matter how you interpret it, he's made a lasting impact.
Let's take a look at 3, awesome, Disney quotes that help keep me going. Hopefully they will help you as well.
I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse. -Walt Disney
This is probably one of his more famous quotes...it plays at the end of every showing of "Celebrate the Magic" on Cinderella's Castle in Magic Kingdom. It's incredibly inspiring to think that, what probably seemed like a small creation at the time, set the stage for everything you see today.
This quote really hits home with me when thinking in an entrepreneurial sense. Many ideas seem like duds and it gets exhausting. Well, just remember, keep that head up high and chug on because you may be coming up with the next "little mouse" idea.
Times and conditions change so rapidly that we must keep our aim constantly focused on the future. - Walt Disney
Time goes by real fast...ain't that the truth. This one from Walt is just a simple reminder to keep looking forward. A lot of Walt's successes came because he didn't limit himself or his company to the technology of the time. We can do that same thing. Learn from the past, but never get stuck in it. Always aim for the future.
All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me... You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.
I think we've all heard this advice in some shape or form during our lives...probably multiple times...but hearing it from Walt gives it some more perspective in my opinion. He faced so many failures in his early career! Being able to come out of each of them as a stronger individual is a critical attribute of the successful leader or person in general.
Summary:
Whether or not you look up to Walt Disney as I do, I think you can appreciate the qualities and standards outlined in the quotes above. Try and remember them the next time you get in a funk or find yourself in a failure situation. No matter how small you may think something is, no matter if the technology isn't there yet, no matter if it's a failure in the end, keep on going!

9yI always liked "The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing". This was Walt's, which is similar to Churchill's "It is not enough to do our best. Sometimes we have to do what's required."
