Inspirational Tunes to Jumpstart Your New Year

Since it's the beginning of the new year - 2017, we all probably have compiled a list of goals we want to accomplish, or New Year's resolutions. Some are easy and some are going to require a lot of hard work and dedication. Above all, however, no matter what the goal is, the things you want to get done are going to require persistence.

I think one of the most powerful ways to stay motivated and complete your goals is by finding some music that reminds you it's worth it to do what you need to do. To finally take a step toward your dream job or to get in shape. Regardless of what your resolutions are - here are some of my favorite tunes that help jumpstart my new year. Hopefully you can enjoy them as much as I do.

Main Theme - Interstellar(Instrumental/Soundtrack)

There's nothing like a song from your favorite film - and mine happens to be Interstellar. Listening to this song reminds me of all the challenges the protagonist faced, but it also has a very inspirational tone. Put this one on to remind you of all the adventure and possibilities waiting for you if you just put in the work.

Go the Distance - Hercules (Soundtrack)

I'm going to channel my inner Disney-nerd here, but for whatever reason, this song has some power to me. Give it a shot and maybe it will give you the extra motivation you need to achieve something today you thought you wouldn't. You may not reclaim your status as a Greek god, but maybe you'll get close.

Save the World - Swedish House Mafia (Electronic)

If you like electronic music and haven't heard this one, give it a listen. It's got a great beat and is just uplifting in general. It can definitely help elevate your mood and get you doing what needs to be done.
