4 Ways To Show Your Fitness Training Expertise On Social Media

Here are four ways to show your fitness training expertise on social media.

Debunk Famous Myths

  • Don’t believe that carbs are the devil? Tell people!
  • Can you get enough protein as a vegan? Explain yourself
  • Is beet juice REALLY healthy for you? Share your knowledge
Your prospective client wants one thing from you—your mind.

Your prospective client wants one thing from you—your mind. They want to know what to eat and how to work out to achieve their ideal results. You can position yourself as a reputable fitness trainer by explaining what’s true and what’s not within the industry.

If you’re the person who teaches people, you’ll be the one they want to work with. Be their guiding light and they’ll choose you over the other trainers online.

Transformation Photos

The before and after pictures of your clients will become the largest asset of your digital content. Followers debating buying your program are wondering if they’ll see a change—show them they will. You can show them by posting regularly before and after photos of your client transformations. Put the before picture to the left and the after picture to the right. In the caption, you want to write how long this transformation took place and have your client give a short quote about their experience.

what you really want is for them to talk about how their life has changed

An important note: their experience doesn’t have to do with your program. As tempting as it may be to have your customers gloat about their experience with you, what you really want is for them to talk about how their life has changed since they’ve met their fitness goals.

That’s the content that speaks to prospective clients on the edge of buying your program.

Exercise Videos

Give people a behind-the-scenes look at your fitness program. You should be regularly sharing exercise videos so your followers can become familiar with your workouts. Here’s what you can do:

  • Create 1-2 minute Instagram video outlining an entire work out (Exercise, sets, reps)
  • Create a 10-minute IGTV video of the same workout, but give helpful tips throughout
  • For example, point out common form mistakes
  • Create a downloadable PDF of a week of your workouts
  • Exercise, sets, reps, tempo, rest time)

Explain Your Program In Detail

When you’re creating content that showcases your expertise, you want to answer all of the questions your prospective client has.

For example,

  • Why should they eat 1,700 calories a day on gym days and 1,500 on rest days?
  • Why does taking a rest between exercises to benefit your muscles?
  • What’s the point of following a tempo when performing an exercise?
  • Why is working out four days a week enough?

You want to thoroughly explain your workout program through your content. You can highlight different parts of your program (i.e. calories/day or the importance of tempo) every day of the week and continue cycling through each topic for all of your new followers.

When you show that you know more than the average person does about a topic, people will look at you as a guide. Positioning yourself as that guide is a marketing strategy used by millions of blogs online today. When people look at you for fitness advice, diet clarifications, and overall help—they’ll be the first in line to buy your program.

Grow your social media following and create passive income through your personal online fitness program.
