69th Anniversary of Myanmar National Airlines

Myanmar National Airlines was founded on 15 September 1948 celebrating it 69th Anniversary this year. It was originally named UBA(United Burma Airways), BAC (Burma Airway Corporation), MA (Myanma Airways) and change to Myanmar National Airlines (MNA) with it brand new look. Wishing MNA 69th Happy Birthday with more success in future and building a world known airlines.

Due to changes in Nation’s Economic Reform Strategy in 2013, MA (Myanma Airways) was reborn as a corporate Airlines with own funding. MNA was the first organization under Ministry of Transportation to implement this strategy.

Thinking back, we have been very proud to be able to overcome such a big challenging transformation. During those periods, with countless meetings and discussions, our team had worked tightly together to deliver the efficient solutions without any delays and set the Strategy and missions of our brand new reformed airlines. We have worked together with many professionals and experts, drawing strategy and directions to building a world known International Airlines. To do this, we have gone through huge upgrading processes of replacing all the old air planes with the brand new aircraft for both domestic and international flights routes. To be able to meet international standard, our team has gone through gap analysis, preparing standard manuals, preparing documents and forms. Furthermore, we have also delivered our staff and crew members intensive professional training such as upgrading of IT system from manual to software, implement online air ticketing system. To build a good image airlines with excellent services, we are also very careful and in details with our on flights services such as in flights food for domestic and international routes, crew members uniforms as well as meeting our service motto of “Safety, Service, and Image.

The most challenging part will be investing and building in our intangible assets or Human Resources for a mindset change to implement MNA service standard which our staff has been dedicating all their hearts and effort to bring the best service to our customers.

It has been 4 years since our reborn of Myanmar National Airlines with all of our dedicated investment in time, money and people. We promise and proudly present the best Myanmar National Airlines to all our customers.
