5yCurious about your view on the use of platform specific SaaS / PaaS services like Rekognition. Do you think think the adoption of those services now will force new form of bimodality in 5 to 10 years when companies are looking to move on to whatever the next greatest and latest thing is but are entrenched with their legacy services?

8yBimodal isn't about architecture or organization as much as it is about allowing autonomy - autonomous IT is a key enabler of Amazon's success (and likely the other model innovators like google). For Enterprises that are trying to consolidate and cost control their IT spending, Bimodal is the first stepping stone to autonomy, alignment, etc.....the second stepping stone is criticizing the simplicity of Bimodal ;-)
