COVID-19: The Invisible Enemy
As Hippocrates rightly quoted- “Desperate times call for Desperate measure”
Due to the Epidemic, some desperate and tough decisions were made which affected the lives of millions. Despite what’s taking place externally is totally different from what’s taking place internally. Every person will react in different ways with what is the current situation of the Nation and the world. There will be those who can keep themselves busy by working work from and not letting their mind affect much with the current situation, but there will be some who will be taking this as an opportunity to relax and spend time with their loved ones. Additionally, there will be those that are unable to see their family members and stuck in some part of the Nation hoping to get back home.
It might be a time of nightmare experiences that are going to stick with some people through their lives. What this illustrates is that everyone is not going to be impacted the same way, some might overcome it but some might won’t be able to emotions and will always question their instincts and decisions. What they see and what they experience is going to be heavily influenced by what is taking place inside them. This is why it has been said that perception is reality or to quote Anaïs Nin - 'We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are.' Instead of feeling like a strong and capable adult, they could feel like a helpless and incapable child.
The reason their emotions and instincts are out of control could be because they are carrying trauma. Furthermore, it could show that they are nutritionally deficient and are not getting enough sleep.
Working through this trauma is going to be imperative. This will allow one to take back control of themselves and then to behave in a way that will serve them in both the short-term and the long-term. Hoping and getting disappointed can be painful, but if you take the risk, you can learn to bounce back from Trauma, and going through these hard times and problems is how you learn to get what you want from life and how you are going to shape it. When you risk hoping, you begin to learn who you are, what you want, and what will make you happy. When you take your idea of self from the definitions, suggestions, and opinions of others, you wind up denying and not even knowing who you are.
Taking the risk and learning to hope and dream makes you encounter yourself. Knowing who you are inside will help you learn what you need to feel good about yourself and your life.
