Day One to Day Done Plan Made Easy

We all have various goals to achieve in our lives and many times we struggle to reach those because of improper planning. Systematic planning & execution can ease the process to attain goals.

As we enter this new year and start working on our ambitious goals, the following simple steps may help you plan better for success.

Understand the Goal Clearly: While ambitious goals are great, we need to have a comprehensive understanding of what is required to achieve them is very important. Do your homework to have clarity on the efforts involved, resources needed, approach, and other factors.

Identify the Success Factors: Find out the best and worst-case scenarios and the various factors that help you to deal with those situations. You can also draw a “goal tree” for a better definition of the approach and strategy.

Action Plan: Come up with detailed activities and schedule them to match your timeline. It is highly recommended to use tools to track & stick to the schedule. You can be optimistic in your plan, but you should also be realistic.

Collaborate to Progress: We may not be great at everything and seeking help to accelerate your progress is the smart way. This help could be from our colleagues, friends, family members, or other resources. Sometimes teaming up with others with the same goals can also help achieve them together.

Validate & Recalibrate: Perform your activities as per the plan and validate your progress and effectiveness frequently. We all have ups and downs - we should never hesitate to learn from our mistakes and revise our plans to perform better.

Completely agree with you Vasu, planning is a must have factor of success. It reminds me of a quote " Fail to plan, is plan to fail."
