Employee Spotlight: Elizabeth Weber
Meet Elizabeth Weber , Growth Director, Hospital & Health Systems at Bamboo Health, and one of the company’s leaders in sales for almost 5 years. She guides Bamboo’s new and existing business growth efforts across hospitals and health systems, predominantly in the Northeast. Elizabeth most enjoys building relationships with prospects and customers, uncovering their strategic priorities related to all things value-based care, population health and care coordination. With this foundation, she can then connect Bamboo’s products and services to support customers’ priorities and drive measurable outcomes. While Elizabeth has a passion for the sales profession in general, she aspires to create an environment for women working in the field to learn from one another, inspire one another and empower one another to be the best version of themselves. For this reason, Elizabeth founded a Women in Sales group at Bamboo in early 2023.
In 2021, Bamboo had two women working in sales. Now, there are eight, representing just shy of 50% of the provider sales org. “Women are compassionate, good listeners and collaborators, therefore having the innate skills to be incredible salespeople,” Elizabeth emphasized.
While there are several studies proving teams with more gender diversity perform better, the U.S. Census American Community Survey found that women make up less than one-third of B2B sales roles, and less than a quarter of B2B tech sales positions. Fewer than one in four women working in the field hold a leadership position. Women in sales often experience relationships and operations differently than their male counterparts and lack a structured space to connect and talk through important topics that are often swept under the rug. Women working in sales at Bamboo now have a space where they feel supported and challenged to become better through their community.
The group commenced initially alongside a broader Sales Kickoff (SKO) in January and has since met several times, usually every other month. Key components of the group include 1:1 mentoring, networking opportunities and group sessions hosting both internal and external guest speakers. Elizabeth shared that, “Bringing in external speakers to the group has proven to be wildly beneficial because it takes us out of our heads down, day-to-day jobs, and pushes us to think about who we strive to be, both now and in the future. It allows us to hear from some incredibly successful women, from C-level executives at leading health systems to venture capitalist leaders at the forefront of uncovering the next big healthcare trend.”

This year, the group has heard from Ruth Krystopolski, President of Ayin Health Solutions at Providence Health and CiCi Ceralde, Director of Venture Insights at McKesson Ventures. The group discussed key topics, including how to build a personal brand, leverage the power of being direct and ethical, push norms, be present as a mother/aspiring mother, and normalize failure and the opportunities that come from it.
The group’s mentorship component most often pairs an individual contributor with a people manager within the group who can serve as a sounding board and provide support related to tactical sales strategies and leadership skills. The group is enthusiastically supported by various internal women sales leaders including Ellen Solomon and Heather Quigg. Above all, the sales group continuously provides organic development opportunities as a collaborative effort with the sessions run by its members.
Elizabeth resides in Upstate New York with her fiancé Howell and dog Stevie. She enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking and learning songs to sing and play on the guitar. We are proud to have Elizabeth on our team here at Bamboo Health and appreciate her commitment to the Women in Sales group. Her leadership demonstrates her embodiment of our company values, most prominently #ownership and #care.
