What brought you to bet365 and what has your journey been like so far?

When I was looking to progress my career, a friend that is a current employee told me about the opportunities available at bet365. Having moved about since a young age, relocating to a new environment sounded really appealing and immediately explored around the idea of moving to Gibraltar. Though I have had no prior experience working in the Sports betting/ Gaming industry, bet365 has strong ties with my university and I had always considered joining company after finishing my degree. I initially joined the company as an Asian Gaming Customer Service Advisor. After a year of gaining experience and knowledge, I then transferred to Sports CRM to continue my professional journey. The experience has mostly been exciting and enjoyable. Despite facing challenges along the way, I have always received support from my colleagues, team leaders, and supervisors to overcome any obstacles.

Can you share a memorable experience or project you've worked on here?

One of my favourite experiences since working here was creating an entire month of campaigns from scratch for a specific territory. Coordinating with other departments to see the campaign go live was incredibly rewarding. It was amazing to witness our work coming alive. This project allowed me to express my creativity in a way that fit the market, and I could evaluate what worked well and what needed improvement to build even better campaigns in the future.

What do you enjoy most about working at bet365?

bet365 offers numerous opportunities for professional development, allowing me to continually expand my skills and knowledge. The supportive environment have been instrumental in my growth. I enjoy the culture of innovation at bet365, where there's always an emphasis on improving and refining campaigns. This constant drive for excellence pushes me to think creatively and stay ahead in a competitive industry. I appreciate the focus on data-driven decision-making at bet365. Using data to enhance our strategies and campaigns ensures that our efforts are effective and targeted. This analytical approach helps in achieving better outcomes and optimising performance.

How has your role evolved since you started?

My role has evolved drastically since joining the company. I started my journey at bet365 as an advisor in Customer Service and then became an instructor after six months, delivering courses and workshops to our trainees. Another six months later, Sports CRM offered me a chance in Marketing as a CRM coordinator. Within the seven months in CRM, my responsibilities have continued to grow each day, including looking after more territories and understanding the cultural and betting differences among them. This progression has been instrumental in my personal and professional growth.

What is the most challenging part of your role?

In CRM, we are very result driven in order to measure the success of our campaigns. A more challenging part of my job is to understand and interpret data to reflect on the effectiveness of our campaigns and whether the key KPIs demonstrate as such. From there onwards, we are always analysing and coming up with new promotions to achieve the different purposes of CRM, as well as staying competitive with other companies in the sector.

What are some of the challenges and benefits of working and living in Gibraltar?

Having moved to the Gibraltar from the UK, there is no doubt that one of the biggest benefits living in Gibraltar is the amazing weather throughout the year, as well as its location near Southern Spain catering for convenient travels. The sense of safety and security in the low-crime Gibraltar is also very ideal. Some of the current difficulties would be the higher costs of living in comparison to the UK, however, once you get yourself familiar here, I can assure you these challenges would become more manageable.

What advice would you give to new employees or those considering joining our team?

Always keep an open mind of how much you can progress, whether that is within your current field or specialty and always welcome new challenges in life.
