The end of an era?

The end of an era?

For the very many of us who have responded to NSW Government tenders over the past 10 years, the NSW Government eTendering website has been a fixture of our 'Bookmarks' folder. Not for much longer though!

eTendering is shutting down

That's right, the NSW Government (via buy.nsw) has announced that the eTendering website will be decommissioned in late June/early July 2024. The website is to be replaced with a new tender platform that will form part of buy.nsw.

Tendering on buy.sw

Instead of tendering for NSW Government related work via the eTendering site, in future you will need to create a Supplier Hub account (if you have not already done so) on buy.nsw. You will then be able to respond to NSW Government tender opportunities via your Supplier Hub account.

Your Supplier Hub account will have the ability to retain certain core information about your business, which in turn - in theory at least - should make it quicker and easier to respond to NSW Government opportunities.

How about dealing with procurement?

While the website portal may be changing, negotiations with procurement teams at NSW Government will remain the same, as does the probity policy and processes.

End of an era...

While change is inevitable, I shall miss my daily visit to the eTendering website - it has been a staple of my life for the past 10 years...

Reach out to us if you have any questions about this or need help with support on any tenders.
