Episode Five Troubleshooting 'Check Bag Cap Then Close Lid Error Message'

This error message is most likely caused when the machine is in “Park Mode” and the bag is leaking mix on to the belt.

An error message will appear due to the stream sensor seeing mix when it shouldn’t as the machine isn’t expecting pancakes to be made.

The main causes of the below issues occurring are due to:

1) Mix Preparation: water warmer than suggested being used to prepare mix can cause mix to drip from the bag, as mix will be too runny.

2) Usage Error: Bag being loaded when it’s not in the correct mode.

Please load bag when machine says “Load Bag Now Then Close Lid”

Issues to cause the Check Bag Cap Then Close Lid error message to display:

Issue- Stream Sensor or Size Sensor was triggered just after new bag was installed (before the “Make Command”)

Possible Cause 1- Mix dripping or flowing from the bag

Solution- Check that cap is screwed back on to the bag spout. Please remove mix bag. Are there any damaged or leakages to the cap/bag? If yes, throw away the bag and make a fresh bag. Also ensure the mix has been prepared correctly and the mix preparation instructions have been followed exactly. These are stated on the bag of mix.

Possible Cause 2- Debris on the bottom belt triggers the Size/Stream Sensor

Solution- Clean any debris left on the surface of the bottom belt and any large chunks of debris/dried mix hanging from the splash guard or the top/bottom belt when the machine/ hotplates to cool to touch

Possible Cause 3- Dried mix on the Stream/Size Sensors

Solution- Clean the Stream/Size Sensors to remove any dried mix (Please refer to Troubleshooting Episode 1 for assistance with this)
