Founder Institute set to ramp up Islamabad's tech space!

The Founder Institute (FI) has graduated over 1500 companies valued at over $15 billion around the world, and now it is ready to launch its Fall Semester in Islamabad, Pakistan. A stellar panel of mentors, comprising iconic entrepreneurs and tech investors like Yusuf Jan of Mixit, Monis Rehman of Rozee, Zafar Khan of Sofizar, and Haider Raza of Evolution Partners, out of Silicon Valley, will augment a structured, web-enabled, learning-by-doing curriculum that is the cynosure of accelerators. Islamabad boasts some of the leading universities in Asia, and is a hub for IT, Telecom and Defense technology, but as the federal capital, its culture has traditionally been characterized by diplomacy and bureaucracy. This is why the FI program and its mantra of "Globalizing Silicon Valley culture" is just the right tonic for unleashing the creativity and innovation of tech startups that disrupt and scale, thereby reallocating resources more efficiently and spurring growth and job creation. Over a hundred aspiring and established tech entrepreneurs applied for the Fall Semester commencing 4 November, 2015. Owing to rigorous selection criteria, including a proprietary online personality and intelligence test that has a close correlation with entrepreneurial aptitude and subsequent success, a few semester slots still remain. To learn more, register for an information session on Wednesday, 21 October at https://fi.co/e/48431.
