Enforcing a password manager protects your business 🔐

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which advises the nation on reducing cybersecurity risk, announced new guidance for businesses: Require strong passwords and use a password manager.

CISA recommends implementing an enterprise password manager that includes a password generator, can store passwords, and can autofill credentials for all of your accounts. This is because password managers play a critical role in enabling employees to create, manage, and use custom, unique, and strong passwords across every application and web sign-in used.

Find out what it means for your business and how 1Password can help.

Key takeaways from Collision 2024 💡

1Password’s CEO, Jeff Shiner , recently attended and spoke at Collision Conf in Toronto on AI’s threat to cybersecurity and how businesses can combat shadow IT in this SaaS era.

Here are some key highlights he took away from Collision’s final event in Toronto before it moves to Vancouver in 2025:

  1. Generative AI is reshaping the threat landscape. Security education alone is no longer sufficient. Businesses will need to provide their employees with tools to help them stay secure. Whereas humans will continue to be susceptible to errors, tools will help people make it easy to be secure.
  2. Shadow IT is a concern for security, but a productivity enabler for employees. Our modern work environment demands that businesses find a way to both secure shadow IT (applications and devices that aren’t secured by, or even visible to, IT and security teams) and also enable it for the benefit of employee productivity.
