Hiring Cyber Security Advisor (Cloud Security)

• 9 - 12 years • Full-Time Hybrid

The Cloud Security Advisor will play a critical role in protecting our cloud infrastructure deployments. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing security measures to proactively safeguard our cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud security practices, tools, and technologies, and will be adept at identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and secure cloud environments (Azure, GCP, OCI) against security threats.
• Implement and manage cloud security controls, including identity and access management, data protection, and network security.
• Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans of cloud systems.
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Investigate and respond to cloud security incidents and breaches.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the DevOps process.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiencies.
• Stay current with emerging cloud security trends, threats, and technologies.
• Provide guidance and support for secure cloud architecture and design.
• Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
• Prepare and present detailed reports on cloud security posture and effectiveness to management.
• Lead/mentor juniors & May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 9+ years of experience in cloud security or a related role.
• Professional certifications such as CCSK, CCSP, CISSP, or provider specific certifications are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks and best practices.
• Experience with cloud security tools and technologies (e.g., CNAPP, CASB, SIEM, CEIM solutions).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
• Familiarity with container security (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Understanding of network security principles and practices.
• Experience with automated security testing and compliance monitoring.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Security as Code. the development lifecycle.
