How to Become A Great Irish Company

How to Become A Great Irish Company

There may be no silver bullets to global success in business but at TechIreland we've observed some core strategies that go a good distance. Companies who travel internationally think more ambitiously than others; companies who are well connected attract talent of a higher standard; and large companies who support the early stage startup community reap the benefits of that investment on a continuous basis.

Today, as we mark our two year anniversary, TechIreland goes official with our membership strategy. A strategy that asks large Irish companies - and Irish based multinationals - to become sustaining members (think NPR!) of our not for profit activity. As members, large companies can connect immediately with a 3,000 strong community offering their support and mentorship. They also get the satisfaction of funding services for startups who look very like they did, just 10 years earlier

TechIreland's startup services include curated introductions, international promotion, data, workshops and mentorship. We don't charge startups and with a large base of members on board, we plan to never have to.

We’ve been working on this membership strategy since the long hot days of summer. But it’s actually well over a year since Ronan Perceval of Phorest and Conor Stanley of Tribal VC offered to support us and became the first de facto TechIreland members. This week I asked Ronan why he came onboard so early and he said because “TechIreland is one of the best ways to support the ecosystem here in Ireland and to enable the next wave of startups to reach further by standing on the shoulders of today’s companies”. Standing on bigger shoulders is another great way to become a great Irish company.

TechIreland already has 30 Irish and multinational members but we're aiming for hundreds, so get in touch and we'll show you the benefits.

Join soon and your company logo will also be included in the Membership pages of Innovation Nation 2019 alongside other great companies like Phorest, CarTrawler, Ding, xSellco, Dell, SAP, McKesson and Google.

Amazing initiative!
