I may have been 'Round the Wrekin' but I have finally returned to Shropshire

As most of you know, I have spent the last two years travelling round the UK with occasional visits to the US for my work with Granicus. It has been an incredible time in my life but with that being said, travel can be exhausting and time away from family and friends is always hard to stomach especially when you have this beautiful little girl waiting for you at home!

After I resigned from my job, I met up with Richard Howells from Bronze Labs and we talked about Shropshire and how incredibly frustrating it is to see so much talent leaving to find work in the surrounding cities. Shropshire is one of the few counties that doesn't actually have a city so I think to many we are not seen as the most 'exciting' of places to live and work. This conversation really stuck in my mind as did Richard's passion for putting Shropshire on the map and it was one of the reasons that I finally made the decision to come back.

When considering my new role at Reech Media, I thought back to businesses that I had worked with in Shropshire and one thing that came to mind was a project I worked on with the Princes Trust called Million Makers. The generosity and support received from local businesses during this time blew me away and in particular Müller (our main partner in the project) and Wenlock Spring (sponsors of our charity gala). There is evident culture of support and community spirit in Shropshire with so many amazing organisations leading the way. So, the questions were, why would I not want the opportunity to work with so many incredibly talented businesses with so much to offer and why do I need to leave Shropshire to do this?

When I combine awesome businesses with my passion for client success I see an incredibly bright future. Having found a business who are so committed to their clients and willing to invest in their happiness, as well as offering one of the coolest work spaces I have ever been to , I feel like one of the luckiest people in the world and cant wait to get started on the 16th April.

If you are an existing client of Reech then I cant wait to meet you and if you are thinking of working with us in the future then I would love to hear from you too. Likewise, if you just love Shropshire as much as I do and fancy a cup of tea or a beer and some networking then just shout. My email is lorna.perry@reech.media .
