IdeasForGames – Brainstorm card set for developing game ideas and mechanics

IdeasForGames is a card set for developing new game mechanics and ideas which was released end of 2015. It was developed by Beat Suter and me from GameLab ZHdK as a tool for Indie Game developers.

It focuses on the core of games, the gameplay mechanics. You can brainstorm ideas and then develop your game ideas into working concepts. The deck has 97 cards that represent a foundation for creating game ideas plus additional cards with instructions.

It's very easy and simple to use. All you need is the card set and maybe some paper to brainstorm. You can play it alone, in small groups or more people in a team.

It can also be used as a workshop-tool in small or big groups, for students and professionals and is also a great tool for game jams.
