International Students Enjoy the "Welcome Picnic 2024" at UAG

Organized by the International Medicine Program, this event is just one of the many incredible experiences students await when beginning their studies at UAG.

Young people from the United States and Puerto Rico celebrated the start of their studies in the International Medicine Program at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) with the traditional "Welcome Picnic" hosted by the institution.

The gathering took place on the softball field at University City, designed to help first-semester students integrate and socialize with their new peers, meet the institution’s staff, and purchase textbooks sold by upper-semester students. Additionally, attendees enjoyed the facilities and a delicious meal.

As part of the event, there were artistic performances, games organized by the Office of Student Affairs, and a visit from Plumer, the university mascot, with whom students and their families took photos.

Various tables were set up showcasing the medical student clubs.

A few days before the "Welcome Picnic," students in the International Medicine Program were officially welcomed during the Orientation ceremony, where they learned all the details about starting their studies at UAG and received their first white coat, a symbol of the medical profession.
