Growth Secrets - The entrepreneurial story of Maarten and Michiel Verstraten of YouLynq.me🎙️

Finally, it's here: our live podcast sharing our entrepreneurial journey! 💥

We've given you glimpses before, but now the full story of Maarten and Michiel is on YouTube. We talk about our successes and challenges—because while things may look great online, it hasn’t always been easy. Entrepreneurship is intense; it’s always on your mind, day and night. But it’s also incredibly rewarding!

We started at the kitchen table, after years of experience in the arts and vlogging. Maarten traveled in Australia, and three weeks after he returned, we launched YouLynq.me. Five years later, we’ve grown a lot—though not without mistakes. Last year, we hired too quickly, which taught us some tough lessons. Now, we work more strategically, using what we’ve learned.

Want to know what’s next? We share it all in the podcast! Thanks to our customers, partners, amazing team, Maarten, and Mediatic for the support and PR! Enjoy! 🎙️

Recharge sessions!

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been on an incredible program with The Recharge Club ⚡️, and our energy levels have fully charged 🔋📈.

In both sessions, we've learned just how crucial it is to know our limits and recharge ourselves—something we often overlook in our busy office lives filled with responsibilities and stress. Balancing physical and mental well-being is vital, and The Recharge Club has shown us the way.

Guided by Maroeska Bakker, Diede Bouma, Veerle Korsten, and Floor Pijpers, we’ve explored what fuels our energy and what drains it. This process has not only helped us recharge but also brought our team closer together, creating strong bonds and a deeper understanding of one another.

In our first session, we focused on recharging by identifying our energy sources and embracing challenges like mini-ice baths. Stepping out of our comfort zones, we learned to manage intense physical discomfort through breathing exercises, emerging stronger and more resilient.

Building on that foundation, our second session moved us from recharging to portable charging. We dove into themes of Body, Mind, and Fire, practicing techniques like meditation and physical exercises to maintain our energy levels on the go. We also set future goals and captured our ambitions in a video, fuelling our excitement for what’s ahead.

This journey with The Recharge Club has been empowering, and we’re grateful to the team and to our colleagues at YouLynq.me for making it all possible!⚡️

Farewell to Fleur en Sawni

Last month marked a special moment as we said goodbye to our manager and long-time colleague, Fleur Lammers

Fleur has been with us since the very beginning, joining in 2020 during the first Corona wave. Starting as an intern, she quickly rose to become a key leader in our team. Within six months, Fleur became a team lead, and not long after, she was promoted to Manager, overseeing a team of 10 to 15 colleagues.

Fleur played a crucial role in our company’s growth. She found our beautiful office in 2021 and was deeply involved in everything from organizing team events to managing HR tasks. She was also a valued partner to our founders, Maarten and Michiel Verstraten. Thank you, Fleur, for your immense contributions. We wish you all the best in the future!

Also a heartfelt thank you to Sawni for all your hard work and dedication. Your contributions have helped us a lot, and we'll miss having you on the team. Wishing you all the best in your next adventure! 🙏🌟

Tip of the Month💡: The art of building long-term relationships in B2B sales

In B2B sales, it takes 7 to 21 touchpoints before potential customers seriously consider your offer. To close deals, you need to focus on two key steps:

  1. Build relationships and earn trust: Be seen as the go-to person for solving your prospects' problems. A strong personal connection is essential before they consider working with you.
  2. Stay top of mind: Ensure you're remembered when their need becomes active. This requires patience and consistent engagement, even if the deal is months away.

Remember, most new clients come from long-term relationships within your network. Regularly share knowledge, follow up on conversations, and keep your CRM up-to-date. Consistency and patience will eventually turn these connections into customers. 📈
