Program Officer – Housing & Capacity Building

LISC Greater Kansas City seeks a self-motivated and qualified individual passionate about affordable housing, equitable development, and safe and healthy neighborhoods for a Program Officer position. This individual will be responsible for the daily coordination and management of the Regional Housing Partnership Initiative and LISC's capacity building grant program, including developing new strategies and metrics, relationship management, and program/project management to support aspects of LISC’s capacity building, health, and housing work.  More [+]

LISC KC Amplifying the Work of our Communities and Partners

The LISC Greater Kansas City team stayed very busy throughout the month of June. We're highlighting a few of the many events and meetings that we participated in, as we continually strive to amplify the work of our communities and partners. We were pleased to join Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, Mayor Quinton Lucas, the Housing Authority of Kansas City, Brinshore Development, and over 100 attendees at the ribbon cutting of the new Sam Rodgers Place apartments, we attended the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) Regional Assembly and Leadership awards luncheon, and we joined U.S. Department of Commerce Under Secretary Eric Morrissette during his visit to our region. RFP Deadline July 17th

The Affordable Housing Trust Fund is a city-wide fund to promote, preserve and create long term affordable housing for extremely low, very low- and moderate-income households. The Fund preserves the affordability of neighborhoods and prevents large scale displacement of residents by providing homeownership opportunities and preserving affordable housing through the rehabilitation of small and large rental housing developments. The Fund also seeks to remove blight and substandard properties through the renovation of vacant properties.
