The New ChatGPT Powered World!

ChatGPT is talk of the town! It has captured the imagination of everyone and has been a mainstream conversation since its launch - at investor briefings, board meetings, London pubs, social circles and ‘chai’ joints! Will it kill Google? Will it replace human beings?

ChatGPT is a truly disruptive technology - what would make ‘The Innovator’s Dilemma’s author Clayton Christensen super proud! The game changing AI chatbot has set everyone thinking - How will this change my business? How do I deal with this revolutionary change?

The internet is full of examples of people experimenting with ChatGPT for writing school essays, software codes or legal agreements. ChatGPT can make the customer service chatbots more effective and explain complex insurance concepts. My colleagues are using it for logo designs at Ignite and outwit my Grammar Nazi instincts.

After the initial euphoria, the real power of ChatGPT will be unleashed when it powers new use cases and redefines existing scenarios - essentially become ubiquitous!

Imagine ChatGPT driving:

• Create book summaries
• Writer Netflix series script
• Influence designs for Paris Fashion Week
• Simplifying educational content
• Public Health awareness
• Humanize sales inquiries & recruitment process

Trust a disruptive technology like ChatGPT to push the case of socio-eco development. ChatGPT can power all tasks, activities and jobs. The economists can collaborate with ChatGPT for designing new policies. Environmentalists and social activists can enhance effectiveness of their causes and programs. Can there be a ChatGPT enabled President?

Does it threaten human beings? Will it create unemployment? Technology creates more jobs and pushes human creativity and imagination. It frees us from the mundane and boring tasks. It encourages human beings to work on bigger goals.

And let’s forget the creativity and execution aspect - human beings will be always in the driving seat. ChatGPT can tell a CHRO on ideas for talent retention but how to inspire employees is still a ground act. How to engage team with mind, heart and soul?

Not all Netflix series will be in made in Metaverse. Nor will all Instagram captioning be done by ChatGPT - it may become repetitive after a point. Not doubting ChatGPT’s ability to be creative!

The economic gains from ChatGPT and new technologies can be leveraged to further the case for universal basic income. Let everyone’s everyday needs be taken care of.

As ChatGPT, Bard and other AI Tools proliferate in the coming days, let’s embrace them and advance to the next orbit on all frontiers of life! The Sunshine World!

ChatGPT is an AI chatbot developed by San Francisco-based startup OpenAI. OpenAI was co-founded in 2015 by Elon Musk and Sam Altman. Microsoft made a big investment in OpenAI and has integrated ChatGPT with Bing and Edge. Google has introduced Bard, a competitor to ChatGPT, setting a new race amongst Tech Giants.

ChatGPT is not perfect and has its limitations. It can give wrong information, does not have access to real time data, fuels copyright issues etc. But it will get better! ChatGPT crossed more than a million users within a week and is the fastest tool to cross 100 million mark.
