It’s already December, and if you’re anything like us, your 2025 planning is well and truly underway. Whether you’re planning headcount, working with your finance team to secure budget, or plotting how to breathe new life into your programs in 2025, this time of year can bring much-needed clarity about what lies ahead.
For People and HR professionals, “what lies ahead” could include understanding how and when to adopt AI technology or supporting learning and development pathways for early career folks.
To find out more about what HR practitioners are predicting for 2025, we asked ambassadors from our exclusive People Builders Community what’s on their radar for Q1 and beyond. Hint: They had a lot on their minds!
“Go slow to go fast” when navigating the AI sea change 🌊
You don’t need a crystal ball to know that AI in HR will continue to be a game changer. We’re seeing the practical application of AI technology in recruitment, data analysis, and streamlining HR processes. But as one of our People Builders ambassadors Ashley puts it, People teams will likely need to adopt a “go slow to go fast” approach when it comes to AI.
While People leaders have been largely cautious about implementing artificial intelligence into their work, the “go-fast” stage may be right around the corner. Earlier this year, Gartner found that nearly 40% of HR leaders are piloting, implementing, or have already implemented generative AI in their workflows.

Remote? In-person? Hybrid? It may be more of a blend than a tug of war 😌
For the most part, the attendance model debate has been an either-or exercise that has felt a bit like running in place. Is the office better for collaboration? Is remote better for work/life balance? It depends. But what we do know is that we’re likely going to be looking at hybrid as the norm for the foreseeable future.
PB ambassador Galia says “The future will blend all three. So regardless of the model, leaders should deliberately curate environments where meaningful connections flourish, individual preferences are valued, and people can do their best work.”

Will personalized work experiences be the next frontier?
The one-size-fits-all era may be on its way out. Boomers, Gen Xers, Millennials, and Gen Z are all sharing the workplace—requiring support and benefits that may look very different depending on life stage, career goals, and lifestyle needs.
As PB ambassador Paola put it, personalized work experiences can help workplaces better meet the needs of their employees.
“I look forward to seeing growing emphasis on personalized work experiences, where companies embrace flexibility and autonomy to empower employees to choose work models, benefits, and ways of growth that best suit their needs.”
