PHP honors PHAN for the 58th Anniversary of Medicaid

To mark the 58th anniversary of Medicaid, PHP recognizes our grantee Pennsylvania Health Access Network and their work to expand and protect access to high-quality, equitable, affordable healthcare for all Pennsylvanians.

Since 2007, PHAN has brought together health care consumers and community organizations to advocate for expanded access to health care.

PHAN's many accomplishments include:

· Connecting thousands of Pennsylvanians to health insurance through Medicaid, CHIP, Pennie, and other programs each year

· Advocating for a better, more equitable health care system through campaigns to lower the cost of prescription drugs, prevent medical debt, increase access to affordable insurance, and more

· Working with community leaders, partners, and state agencies to improve and expand services available through Medicaid, like the transportation program, language access, and others

· Mobilizing Pennsylvanians to defend Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, SNAP, and other critical programs that support Pennsylvania families

Through their Helpline services, Pennsylvania Health Access Network plays an indispensable role connecting community members with health insurance - including Medicaid - and using feedback and lessons learned to drive advocacy for more equitable public systems. The importance of PHAN's work is exemplified by their current collaboration with partners across the state to support community members to navigate the Medicaid redetermination process and retain the best coverage for which they are eligible whether through Medicaid, CHIP, and/or Pennie. Thank you PHAN!
