PSYCHOSOCIAL SAFETY INVESTIGATIONS: Tackling Tricky People Issues at Work

Efforts to manage psychosocial risks are in full swing in many Australian organisations, but what of other critical safety processes? Some are now starting to consider how to improve investigation practices, noting that psychosocial hazards are often overlooked when exploring contributing factors. Is this on your organisation’s agenda?

Investigating psychosocial factors involved in both physical and psychosocial safety incidents requires a nuanced understanding of both human behaviour and organisational dynamics. There is the added complexity in considering how to resolve traditional WHS and HR approaches to investigation, with the latter most often involved in responding to complaints of conduct issues like sexual harassment and workplace bullying.

Getting this work right is imperative – investigations play a critical role in identifying upstream causes to prevent further instances of harm. Join us for valuable insights and practical tips on adopting effective approaches to psychosocial safety investigations.

In this free* and interactive webinar, hear from two subject matter experts from FlourishDx. In the one-hour session, they will cover:

  • How are organisations currently approaching investigations in psychosocial safety?

  • What are the key considerations when investigating psychosocial matters?

  • Who should be leading your investigations – WHS or HR?

  • What frameworks or approaches should be adopted in investigations?

  • What are the pros and cons of running investigations internally versus getting an external investigator?

* This webinar is free for people and safety professionals working internally within businesses. Paid tickets are available for consultants offering services to external clients. For a free ticket you must be working in an internally facing role and register with a valid company email address.
