Putting talent before tech? Very demure

Putting talent before tech? Very demure

Let's be mindful of how amazing people are. They solve problems and make cool stuff. Could a boring old robot dance Bollywood into existence? What algorithm is wacky enough to invent the dogbrella? (Yes, that is an umbrella for dogs.) The point is, when it comes to creativity, talent trumps technology. Of course, it doesn’t hurt to have tech on your side, which is why this edition of The Lead Line looks at how AI can help people work with purpose and lean into their humanity. Dig in!

How AI can unleash a human renaissance

Putting people at the heart of your AI playbook

ServiceNow’s chief people officer, Jacqui Canney , has been thinking about AI in the workplace—a lot. And because humans are her jam, she has some thoughts on how to incorporate AI into the workplace in a way that puts people at the center of her strategy. Read on to discover how she has created a new playbook that is people-led, data-driven, and AI-powered.

Empowering employees with AI sidekicks

Will your next work buddy be a robot? One innovation expert says “yes”

A well-trained AI knows things. A lot of things. More things than one human can know. So, when you’re starting a new job, wouldn’t it be nice to have an AI sidekick at your fingertips to tell you what the vacation policy is and provide you with training on demand? Manisha Arora, senior director of innovation at ServiceNow, explores the many ways AI can help employees do their jobs better, and how executives can guide the way.

Fulfilling our purpose together through volunteer opportunities

Learning, growing—and baking!—as a team

With AI giving time back to employees, many are paying it forward, putting some of those hours toward volunteering in their communities. Some people make time to mentor, some provide free professional services, and others bake delicious treats for foster kids. At ServiceNow, we encourage our employees to pursue whatever volunteer opportunities give them the greatest sense of purpose—even if that means persuading their co-workers to decorate 300 cupcakes! Read on for some heartwarming tales from employee volunteers.

Insightful. I feel if AI is being used wisely, it can potentially save time for employees to be able to volunteer and help others outside of work. I enjoy using AI to assist me to communicate better and faster. And I enjoy the time saved to be able to volunteer in my community! 🤝

Imagine if AI became an integral "sidekick" to our creative processes, enhancing rather than replacing human ingenuity. How will this balance shape future innovation?
