Sandersville is located in Jones county with a population of just over 600 people, it's the 255th largest city in Mississippi.

Sandersville lacks a public transit system to get to and from work, buy groceries, or take the kids to their doctor's appointment, so you'll want a car. Regardless of the means by which you commute around town, Sandersville is notable in that residents have a better commute to work than most places, with a commute time from home to work for those of us who live here is between 15 to 30 minutes on average.

In terms of college education, the citizens of Laurel rank are on the mark with the national average of adults 25 and older having a bachelor's degree or advanced degree at just over 24 percent, while the nation average is 22 percent. Of course, these days when you get a higher education it comes with a lot of debt! So, if you're someone who falls into this scenario, consider your options long before thinking about purchasing a home, and even before the ink is dry on your student loan note!

Sandersville is a fairly quiet town because there are relatively few families with children living at home, and is quieter because of it. But the biggest reason it is quieter in Sandersville than in most places in America, is that there are just simply fewer people living here. If you think trees make good neighbors, Sandersville may be for you.

There are two measures for understanding income: the average and the extremes. While a neighborhood may be relatively wealthy overall, it is equally important to understand the rate of people - particularly children - who are living at or below the federal poverty line, which is extremely low income.

The average income in Sandersville is just over $24000 per capita, which equate to an annual amount of $96000 a year for a family of four, while over 30 percent of the children in Sandersville live below the federal poverty line. Simply put, we can do better and that begins with a good education!

Thanks for taking the time to read my post; I hope it inspires you to connect if you haven't already! I'd like to share with you a little about business, life, and fun here on the third coast - if you don't mind? The Redneck Riviera began in the Florida panhandle cities of Panama City & PCB. Also called LA... Lower Alabama, but more affectionately known as the "Redneck Riviera". A strip of surf and sand that stretches some 95-miles along Florida's Hwy 98, with the most beautiful sugar white beaches in the world. But, as time moves on, boundaries change, and the Redneck Riviera has as well; extending deep into Mississippi, and boot toe of Louisiana's Florida Parishes. Follow my page and see if a visit; business engagement; or perhaps a total relocation is right for you or your business. If you live, work, or play here already, please share in the comments what makes the 3rd Coast great for you. Corrections and especially local updates are always appreciated, and will be used to improve this post.
