Spotlight shines on role model for women

River Point Farms (RPF) General Manager Traci Jensen has been recognized for her leadership and accomplishments at one of the flagship operations of AgReserves.
Traci was recently featured in a weekly blog on the Women in Agribusiness (WIA) website. WIA was founded in 2012 and, according to the site, has become “a year-round community where women can network and gain knowledge to help advance their careers” in agriculture.
“We are thrilled to see WIA spotlight Traci,” says AgReserves Vice President of Human Resources Lisa White. “She is a valued member of our team, inspiring women inside and outside the organization to ignite their passion for a rewarding career in agriculture.”
In an industry where women remain underrepresented at the management level, Traci is a role model for other women hoping to climb the agribusiness ladder.
River Point Farms is an onion packer and processor located in Hermiston, Ore., that supplies millions of pounds of onions every year to customers such as Frito Lay, Subway, Chipotle, and other well-known national brands. Traci has been at RPF for eight years and has been the general manager for the past three. In the WIA blog post, Traci discusses the importance of food safety, shares her thoughts on getting high school girls interested in agriculture, and talks about challenges women can overcome in the industry.
The Women in Agribusiness Today blog includes “stories on the latest outlooks, developments and movers and shakers in the ag sector,” and new posts are published each Tuesday. The feature on Traci was later published on the Global Ag Investing website as well.
