Actor buys specialty grocer's Pinellas real estate

The real estate home to Sprouts Farmers Market in Kenneth City has traded hands.

Actor Stephen Stapinski purchased the store for $7.9 million from Atlanta-based Fuqua Development, according to Pinellas County property records. He took out a $3.3 million loan from Bar Harbor Bank & Trust to finance the purchase, records show. This is Stapinski's first purchase of the grocer-anchored real estate in Florida.

Two local families make Forbes list

Two Florida families have secured spots among the 45 richest in the nation, according to Forbes' latest ranking of family wealth.

The Jenkins family, owners of Publix Super Markets based in Lakeland, claimed the No. 39 spot on the list with a net worth of $11.2 billion. 

Following closely at No. 44, the Glazer family, who own the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Manchester United, reported a net worth of $10 billion.

Tampa Bay Water approves next step in Pasco County project

Tampa Bay Water is taking the next step in ensuring Pasco County has an ample water supply to meet its rapidly growing needs.

The proposed wellfield would withdraw brackish and/or fresh groundwater and treat it at a new water treatment plant in Pasco County.
