The Truth about Health and Wellness
You get to choose how to move, nourish and love your body. It’s amazing how many people don’t consider their health until it's gone. The choices you make determine the level of your health and wellness longevity.
However, whether you live a healthy lifestyle or not, the effects of cellular breakdown can creep up on you.
You may not realise it, but your cells are talking to each other all the time. In fact, we have over 75 trillion cells in our bodies, and each one is sending messages to different body functions every day. This constant communication is essential for keeping our bodies healthy.
Cells are the basic units of life, and they carry out all of the necessary functions for keeping us alive. In order for our cells to function properly, they need to be able to communicate with each other. This communication occurs through a process called cell signaling. Cell signaling is the way that cells send and receive information from each other.
Cell signaling is essential for many different bodily functions, including:
- digesting food
- fighting off infections
- repairing damaged tissue
- delivering oxygen and nutrients to cells
- controlling mood and behavior
- and more!
Cells are the building blocks of our bodies, They play a vital role in our overall health. Healthy cell-to-cell communication is essential for maintaining a healthy body.
Unfortunately, as we age, our cells become less effective due to lots of different things such as Environmental factors, the food we eat, stress, and the air we breathe and aging can actually turn off genes and cell talk. Meaning the instructions that dictate healthy body functions don’t get through!
This can lead to a host of age-related health problems, such as chronic inflammation, disease, hurting joints, gut issues, hormone problems and much more
It's like having an old phone. You want it to be fast, send and receive messages quickly but the answer, my friends, is simple: it's all about the hardware. Just like the phone, our bodies start to break down and slow down as we age.
There are a lot of reasons why we slow down as we age. For starters, as we get older, we accumulate more "junk" in our system. Just like our phones fill up with apps and files we no longer use, our bodies become bogged down by excess cells and chemicals that we don't need. Bad signal, no 'towers', no 'reception'. This makes it harder for our cells to signal to do all functions the way they're supposed to. In addition, we start to see and feel the signs of that. we grow old, we grow weak, and we lose muscle mass and bone density. Finally, we grow more susceptible to health challenges. such as diabetes or hypertension
The first step on the path to a healthy life is making the choice to live healthily. That choice includes everything from eating nutritiously and exercising regularly, to getting enough sleep and managing stress levels. Even if you've made some unhealthy choices in the past, it's never too late to start making healthier ones. And when it comes to your health, even small changes can make a big difference.
