WAYS TO UPGRADE YOUR LIFE
Have you ever thought of ways to UPGRADE YOURSELF? From decluttering your home, getting rid of toxic friends to looking for a new job or pay rise, you can improve your life with small but effective steps......
WAY 1: DECLUTTER YOUR HOME
If your drawers are crammed to the brim. Your paperwork is in chaos and your cupboards are rammed full of clothes -many of which you haven't worn in years. It's time to start organizing and decluttering. Set aside a day when u can focus on sorting out, tiding, filling and labelling. Use Coloured folders, pretty drawer-liners and hangers if it makes the job of decluttering more appealing. It won't only make it easier to find what you are looking for next time - it will do wonders for you psychologically too helping you feel more in control of all aspects of your life. Try it now and feel better.
WAY 2: BREATHE
We may think we know how to breathe but, if you don't breathe fully and deeply throughout the day, taking time to oxygenate properly, you won't be firing on all cylinders - and breathing properly has direct impact on your mood too. Consciously breathing long deep breaths energizes your body, neutralizes acid, relieves tension, reduces stress hormones that cleanses and detoxifies your body. Make sure too drink plenty of water while you are at it. The more hydrated you are the more energized and positive your mood will be. BREATHE... BREATHE... BREATHE AND KEEP SMILING.
WAY 3: EDIT YOUR ADDRESS BOOK
Increasingly hectic lives, and our reliance on smartphones and gadgets means we're never really switched off. It can be difficult just keeping up with our close family and friends; but toxic friends-those who not only drain you emotionally but give little back or worse, say or do things that damage your own self-esteem, and have a negative impact on your well-being-can make matters even worse. So go through your Facebook account, your address book and the contact list on your phone and hit the delete button or, if that's too difficult, resolve to simply see less of them and focus on those people who are really important to you. Trust me this is the most important advise ever to upgrade your life.
WAY 4: FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT ANYWAY
As children we're constantly learning new skills, but as adults we often tell ourselves we're too busy or don't have the confidence to try something new. Whether it's learning another language, something practical like artisan baking skills or getting your blood pumping by training for a marathon, it will do wonders for your confidence. Be confident, work hard, be focused, dream big, never quit, be fearless, keep calm and always always keep smiling.
WAY 5: ASK FOR A PAY RISE
If you have been putting lots of effort at work and still don't feel appreciated, it's time to take action. You work hard, and deserve to be paid accordingly. What happens, though, when you feel that no matter how hard you work you're not getting the promotion you deserve or you are being passed over for a pay rise? This is a tricky subject to approach with your employer; money can be awkward to discuss. My advice will be firstly know your own worth. Many people have an income ceiling where their mind says “you are earning enough”. It wouldn't be right to have more. So it is important to ask ourselves “What is my worth”. Find out what is the industry norm for your position. Then start work on any limiting feelings or beliefs that could be holding your back. If you realise how good you are and tackle any negative thoughts that could be limiting your monetary success, this can be enough to change your belief about own personal income ceiling.
WAY 6: MAKE A CAREER CHANGE
If you want a new job or a promotion but you're lacking the confidence to go for it, try keeping a daily journal for a few weeks of the successes in your home and business life. There might be small things, such as you planned the family meals for a week within budget, or took the lead at work in a successful project. Write down tangible skills and results in your journal and soon you will have a dossier that will show you that you are capable of getting that new role, and give you the confidence to go after the job you want. Similarly if you have been thinking about starting your own business, write down the skills you have to make that business a success. If you lack the confidence to give up your day job just yet, you can start to turn your dream into reality by taking positive steps towards your goal. Start researching the market, making connections and adding to your skills while still working SINCERELY & HONESTLY in your current job.
WAY 7: SORT OUT YOUR FINANCES
Being in control of your finances and making smart decisions about spending, saving and investments will not only mean you have more money, It will help you sleep easier at night too. Creating a healthy bank balance also starts with building confidence around money recognizing. Where we might be ignoring our finances is the first step to making great financial decisions.
WAY 8: REMEMBER YOU ARE AMAZING
Just as you need love in your life, it’s vital that you learn to love yourself, too. If you're thinking negative thoughts, you will never experience the well being that you desire. A little self-appreciation goes a long way. So take a good look at yourself in the mirror and praise all those qualities that you think make you UNIQUE... ALWAYS GIVE LOVE, to yourself, to your things, to your belongings, to your clothes. LOVE YOURSELF AS MUCH AS YOU CAN AND SEE MIRACLES COME YOUR WAY EVERYDAY.
