Why hire an Events Agency, when you can just do it yourself?
I have to say; I often hear clients explaining to their employees why they use an events agency and it’s not until they see the volume of work that goes into the overall events process that they start to understand why and that it’s not as easy as they first think.
This is part of the overall problem; it can be misleading to think how straight forward and “fun” it is to organise an event, from the venue sourcing to logistics. This happened to us recently where a client had contacted a venue directly, then handed the whole process over to us due to the volume of work, she didn’t realise was involved and on top of her day-to-day role. The contracts had been raised for the event and we noticed a number of errors in the documents, that from previous experience, we knew wouldn’t work for this clients event.

We work with venues all across the UK, from large hotel brands to stand-alone venues, which gives us; not only buying power, but experience of the market to advise our clients on what would work best for their events. Organising events is about giving delegates an experience that they will remember and take back to their teams for future development. And at Seventa this is our overall goal, to create an experience for delegates and the organiser (why shouldn’t they enjoy and engage in the event) while we liaise with all the suppliers, ensuring everything behind the scenes is working like clockwork.

We don’t just source a venue for clients, contract it and then leave clients to manage their way through all of the logistics, coordination and external suppliers. We are by their side every step of the way; offering advice on all aspects of the event, liaisons with sometimes multiple venues for the overall event on top of accommodation, supplier management and cost savings across all elements.
With all the above in mind, using agencies can be more cost effective, as we are able to negotiate prices on a wider scale and have experience of all different types of venues.
As a dedicated and focused team, we event manage on a daily basis, we know the questions to ask and the details too spot, we coordinate every element. Often saving costs in the process, meaning a clients event budget goes further. So I guess really the question should be, why wouldn’t you use an event agency!
