UK-based Photocentric, which specializes in liquid crystal display (LCD)-based resin #3Dprinters and photopolymer materials, has unveiled the CosmicMaker: a high-speed, space-ready #3Dprinter for manufacturing components directly in orbit. As Vanesa M. Listek reports, its ability to operate in microgravity will give astronauts a new level of self-sufficiency.

Software firms Synera and PanOptimization are collaborating for #3Dprinting simulation. As Joris Peels reports, the PanX #additivemanufacturing simulator is launching on the Synera Marketplace in April, which will enable automated distortion calculations, thus creating a repeatable process that reduces print failures.
