Post-Doc Candidate being looked for in the area of Quantum Information Science   The Quantum group at AFRL/RI is interested in filling a full-time post-doctoral position in the field of Quantum Information Science. You will be leading experimental investigations into facets of quantum networking, including, but not limited to, network node and interconnect hardware development, quantum communication channel operation and characterization, microwave-optical transduction techniques, and hybrid quantum system development. You will be part of a team based at AFRL (Rome NY) that works in part with superconducting circuit measurement and design.   Education & Experience - A Ph.D. or equivalent skills in performing research and communicating about research. - Taken graduate level coursework in quantum mechanics (consistent with most physics Ph.D. and some electrical engineering Ph.D. programs).   Desirable but not essential qualifications: - A mixture of experimental, modeling, and theory skills. - Familiarity with quantum information science. - Familiarity with any quantum platform, including but not limited to quantum optics, photonics, trapped-ion, atomic molecular optics, opto/electro-mechanical systems, and superconducting circuits.”   Eligibility: U.S. citizens and nationals from U.S. allied countries.   Starting pay will be between $70,000 - $90,000   Benefits Include: - 401(k) - Dental insurance - Flexible schedule - Health insurance - Life insurance - Paid time off - Vision insurance Please email resumes to dravacrofoot@griffissinstitute.org.

Summer Faculty Fellowship Program (SFFP) application period for FY24 will open Sept 1st to November 20th, 2023. This program provides onsite, collaborative research opportunities at the various AFRL facilities. This program is an 8 to 12-week research residency.
