“Our advanced engineering apprenticeships play a pivotal role in generating a talent pipeline for hard-to-fill roles in highly technical subjects. These RAPs uniquely address industry demand, setting us apart in the field. Moreover, our apprentices have the option to pursue a master’s degree, making our dual Apprenticeship-Master's program the first of its kind nationally,” said Qwasar Silicon Valley co-founder and COO, Jennifer Robertson. Thrilled to welcome Qwasar Silicon Valley to our Apprenticeships for Tech program. #apprenticeships #apprenticeship #techapprentice #workforcedevelopment #techcareers
Exciting news! CompTIA Apprenticeships for Tech Network announces a new apprenticeship partner, Qwasar Silicon Valley, an award-winning global training provider, is launching registered apprenticeship programs (RAP) in Backend Software Engineering, AI/Machine Learning, Embedded/Firmware Engineering, and DevOps/Cloud Engineering roles. This is a significant step forward in addressing the tech industry's talent gap and creating opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds. Qwasar Silicon Valley is now part of the CompTIA Apprenticeships for Tech Network, a national initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) and led by the American Institutes for Research in partnership with CompTIA. This initiative aims to create employment opportunities in the tech workforce for people from diverse backgrounds while helping employers fill current and long-term tech staffing needs. These apprenticeships play a crucial role in generating a talent pipeline for hard-to-fill roles in highly technical subjects. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics anticipates a 22% increase in positions for software developers between 2019 and 2029, more than four times the growth projected across all occupations during that same decade. Apprenticeships are a proven method for building the technical and durable skills that employers are looking for and to do so in a way that brings a broader diversity of people into the workforce. It’s a winning strategy for any organization that’s looking to grow and diversify its tech team. Let's continue to work together to drive diversity and economic mobility for individuals through tech careers, which meet employer needs, and provide economic growth for communities. #WorkforceDevelopment #TechCareers #DiversityInTech #Apprenticeships #CompTIA Amy Kardel, Esq.Richard Braden, Donna Cusimano https://lnkd.in/gYM_MA_w

Food for thought about the concept of a degree apprenticeship. Will we see this model -- highly successful in other countries -- take off in the U.S.? #apprenticeship #degrees #workforceeducation https://lnkd.in/gZcpSekF
Will the "apprenticeship degree" come to America? (opinion)
