BECOME A MEMBER: The APWA - Southern California Chapter - Young Professional's Committee is for anyone that: •Is under the age of 35 •Has current APWA membership & has paid dues for the Southern California Chapter If you are interested in joining our YP Committee, please send us a direct message and one of our page admins can provide you with more information on how to join. If you are older than 35, don’t panic! Our YP committee and this associated page may be for young professionals, but we often invite seasoned professionals to our events. We still encourage you to like and follow our page. We just ask that you also share our page with your YP colleagues. APWA is comprised of professionals from both the public and private business sectors. APWA members from private consulting firms include professionals that specialize in: •Engineering •Manufacturing •Construction •Service providers APWA members from public sector include position titles such as: •Public Works Directors •City/County Engineers •City/County Managers •Fleet Managers •Property & Equipment Superintendents •Utilities Managers •Community development directors •Transportation Managers •Park Directors •City/County officials YP COMMITTEE: Young Professionals that aspire to have a successful career in a public works related industry are encouraged to join APWA and attend YP events. The APWASoCalYP Committee plans and hosts quarterly general session meetings, social events and technical tours. Our members also participate in several community service/outreach events.
