Two Conditions for Sterling Bulls to Get All Clear From Budget The UK's Oct. 30 budget could revive sterling bulls through two main channels. It could help shift expectations to a mix of (relatively) looser fiscal and (relatively) tighter monetary policy, which may back the yield-driven bullish case. It may also confirm restored UK fiscal credibility, but that may not be easy, given its precarious fiscal position. But: What relationship can exist between the budget and BOE hawks? Is this more relevant Vs the euro or the dollar? What scenarios are being priced in the options markets? Private credit's opportunity may extend across North America and Europe as managers partner or take share from banks, asset-based financing structures and possibly some public instruments. The total fixed-income market may be about $41 trillion, we calculate, vs. $37 trillion in 2023, and about $4.3 trillion, or 11% of that, could be up for rotation long term, based on our BI survey responses. This may see alternative managers generate $28 billion in fees in 10-15 years, according to senior financials analyst Paul Gulberg, CFA. https://lnkd.in/dd5AXWJB #privatecredit #alternativemanagers #Blackstone
