"In a moment of nervous anticipation at the Times Fashion Week show, where I walked for a cause- Ocean Accessibility Tourism, Ocean Literacy and Conservation,I found unexpected comfort and courage in the embrace of a remarkable young woman with Downs syndrome. In that embrace, we shared a beautiful connection that transcended words. Her warmth and acceptance rose above the glitz, lights and glamour…reminded me of the power of embracing diversity and celebrating the uniqueness of every individual. In that simple hug, I found strength and reassurance from her, knowing that we were both part of a community that values inclusivity and acceptance. As we stood together, nerves melting away, I realized that true beauty lies in the connections we make and the acceptance we offer one another.
