How has social media impacted the sports industry? 🎤 Last week, Goat's Head of Client, Ellie Hooper, attended C21Media's Content London to discuss the evolving world of sport marketing, from fan engagement and brand sponsorship, to the rise of TikTok and short vs long-form content. In a panel alongside Channel 4's Joe H and Snap Inc.'s Kahlen Macaulay, Ellie honed in specifically on the role of creators in sport. That's a wrap on Content London 2024! Our team had the chance to spend the week connecting with other industry leaders and partners, attending great panels and engaging in discussions around industry trends for 2025. Looking forward to more conversations and collaborations in 2025!

This week I attended my first Content London (I'd worked on it before but never been). It was good to see such a packed event full of the industry's best, not least at the Sky session I helped shape. It's been quite a year of stand out content and I'm excited to be involved in what's to come in '25. Thanks to Meghan Lyvers, Philip Edgar-Jones OBE and Jamie Morris for taking part, and to Stephen Armstrong who moderated it so well and was a pleasure to work with in the run up to the event, and on the day #tvindustry #contentlondon #tv

It’s been an exhilarating week at Content London, invigorating and challenging. Our exciting new drama series, The Island Cookery School by Nick Walker, was selected for the Content London Drama Pitch '25 from 100 entries and it was a real pleasure presenting this show to buyers and producers from all over the globe. The crowd's response was incredibly enthusiastic and warm hearted. An Italian foodie-inspired mystery, with escapist charm seems to go down a treat especially during these challenging times. Let’s hope our buyers line up and we get it off the ground! Thanks so much for coming & watching! Thanks again to C21Media and Content London for the excellent panel discussion, great event, and a bit of press for Calliope Networks. There were many highlights from the event, including the keynotes from Chad Nelson from OpenAI and Louise Holmes from Meta. One of the recurring themes of the week was that AI will facilitate ever more democratization of content production. Our future will be a world where people can build very sophisticated movies and series from their home computer that can visually compete with major productions. That will cause all kinds of disruption, for better and worse.
